Partylite - Barbara Carpenter I wanted to become a consultant and when I wasn't able to get all 6 parties in 4 weeks due to rollout of new softeware at my full time job, they would not give me an extension. Now I have several ladies who want to have a party and place orders and I cannot get partylite to help me with this, they made me give back my consultant kit or they were going to press charges. I signed up to be a consultant and wanted to wait till Feb since we were doing a soft ware roll out at work, they bullied me into taking the kit sooner and then when I wasn't able to get all 6 parties done within 4 weeks since I was working 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm at night. I asked for an extention to be able to accomplish this. They told me no and that I had to return my kit if I did not within 24 hours they would call the state attorneys office and have me prosacuted. Don't do business with Barabra Carpenter who is the region manager for Florida. She is hateful, rude, and now I have several ladies who want to do parties, and I cannot do this now, when I called the corporate office they said I had to wait 2 years to apply to be a consultant again.

Current Consultant

I am a current consultant, fairly new, actually. I started at the very beginning of July.

All my shows for July cancelled. In my first three months there, I only made $1000 in compensatable sales - I still have my kit. I wasn't asked for it back or anything.

In fact, your first two months count as your first month - my first month was July and August, my second month was September, and my third month was October. In that amount of time, I only had three shows.

I'm not sure if Partylite has changed their policies since then, but perhaps if you inquire directly to customer service again, they may be able to assist you.

Partylite Kit policies

I am a consultant with PL and have been for about 5 years. It is not PL's policy to ask for a kit back if someone doesn't do six shows in 4 weeks. You have three months to "qualify" which is to do $1400 in business in a month. If the person who sponsored you threatened legal action against you, I would suggest contacting the company directly and let them know what happened.

I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience with a company that has been very good to me.
