We received a free pair of airline tickets, a 4 day cruise and a weekend at a resort from Passport to Travel after attending a time share presentation. We tried to book the cruise and the airline tickets at the same time and were told that was impossible. We would have to book the cruise then hope that we could do the airline tickets for the same time. We opted not to do that and instead used the weekend at a resort by itself. To our surprise, we found that we were required to attend another 2 hour presentation of rude obnoxious, high pressure sales people in order to take advantage of the weekend.
We did choose to go ahead and do that. The free weekend ended up costing us over $100 in fees. We also sent in the fees $100 for the airline tickets and sent in our request for dates in order to attend a wedding. We got an e-mail back telling us that it would cost another $90+ per person to book. We opted to go ahead and faxed in our credit card number to reserve the flight. About 45 days later it occured to me that we hadn't received any confirmation, so I contacted the company and was told that they did not have any record of the fax, and our tickets were not booked. They said they could book them but now it was almost $200 per person.
This is obviously their way of either not having to honor the requests or to run up the costs. We had to book our flights on our own to avoid missing the wedding (and it was cheaper than the "free" tickets would have been). Overall, I would advise that any offer from this company be avoided at all cost. The free items that they provide will cost several hundred dollars and they will work very hard to avoid redeeming them if possible. We were also told that we could get $75 of our $100 deposit back from the airline tickets initially, but when my husband got nasty and hung up, the rep called him back and said that they would not be refunding anything.
