Pathway Financial Debt Consolidation Company told me they could help me. They took money out of my checking account on a monthly basis. I did everything they asked me to do just to find out they did nothing.
Every time I called them they told me don't worry about it we will take care of everything.. EVERYTHING nothing.. Two summons later they wanted more money from me and told me to borrow some.. REALLY where is all my money you have deducted from my checking account??? They took it for fee's. I believe this company can't do anything for you..
Please don't get scammed like I did.. bad bad bad!!!!  Your credit will get ruined because they tell you to stop paying the creditors but they won't call to try negotiations...even when I begged them to call the creditors to get a settlement amount they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!  Now I'm stuck with a judgement on my record as well as an extremely low credit score and can't finance anything!!!

Look for These Signs Next Time

AUTHOR: Chelsea S - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 21, 2011

First off, I am sorry to hear that happened to you, I hear stories such as these every day and it gives a bad name for the entire industry.

I would definitely recommend doing some research on a debt relief company before you sign up. There are different red flags you can look out for prior to signing up for a debt relief program that is just going to leave you in worse shape than you were before.

First off, according to FTC regulation, no Debt Agency is allowed to charge up-front fees for their services. If any agency even tries to charge you up-front ILLEGAL.
Look out for overnight solution slogans such as:

Debt relief is just a click away!

Cut your minimum monthly payments by 50% or more!

Make sure you do your research when it comes to getting out of debt, it is important to investigate testimonials, and see what others have said about a company before signing any dotted lines.

Ideally you want to look for an agency that offers a variety of programs rather than just debt settlement or debt negotiation ensuring that youre not just being sold on one program, but rather one that fits your specific needs.

Also, look for a company that offers free consultations, that way you can actually sit down and speak with a debt analyst about your finances rather than speaking to a sales representative for the company that is going to tell you whatever you want to hear.

Best of luck!
