This was set up as a lay-away and purchase price was $1850.00 and $1600 was sent. When it came time to make the final payment of $250 and for me to check out on PayPal, Pattys Dollhouse.com would not permit me to make the final payment. Patricia J. Watson-Tufte, I assume, the owner whose name is on this web page, would not correspond with me or call me to allow me to complete this final payment nor would she send me the Effanbee Patsy Ruth, all original doll, including all original clothing. Although she did on numerous occasions, when I called her, promise to send me the doll. Of course, I never did get the doll. I have had to hire an attorney and also to turn the matter over the the Illinois Attorney General's Office in an attempt to collect my money and also to hopefully purse it insofar as Consumer Fraud is concerned. So buyer beware do not purchase from this web site.

POSTED: Monday, January 28, 2008

Resolved on approximately January 10, 2008. After hiring an attorney I finally collected money from defendant and forfeited one third of the money in attorney fees; ie, approximately $660. Has taken approximately one year to resolve this because Defendant would not refund me what she owed me nor would she deliver the merchandise to me when requested to do so.

I had to hire an attorney and have obtained a civil judgment in the amount of $1600.00, plus court costs against the owner of Pattysdollhouse.com, which is Patricia Watson-Tufte, after not being able to get her to send my merchandise or refund my money.

I have been advised that my case file has been forwarded by a detective in the police department for the City of Champaign to the State's Attorney Office to determine if they will prosecute for Consumer Fraud along with another case similar to mine that has recently been filed against Ms. Watson-Tufte.

UPDATE

AUTHOR: Joyce - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 20, 2007

Without any real advance notice, Pattys Dollhouse sends an email on 4/12/07 that she is sending "my" merchandise and the "same" day the postal service advises of a delivery. This is approximately 80 days after I was to be shipped the merchandise.

In my opinion this is "too little, too late" considering I have had to pursue legal action to get anything accomplished.

In my opinion, if the seller had the merchandise that I purchased; it would have been sent the numerous times I requested it be shipped in late January and early February, 2007. The merchandise was refused and returned to sender.
