Paul Brown (moores goodyear) Transmission builder who knows nothing about transmission!! lufkin texas

I found this guy in a craig's list posting so  i called him to bench build the transmission out of my truck , After removing my transmission i took it to him at his house out on hwy 103 west of lufkin texas . He assured me he builds my type of transmission all the time and it was just a simple job for him . He requested $350 up front for parts or the rebuild kit to get started so i gave him the money when i dropped my unit off . His total labor was $650 at this time for his labor to rebuild this unit . After blowing me off for two weeks he called me one day and said he would need an additional $120 for parts damaged that the $350 didnt cover so i paid and additional $120 to him . After another couple weeks he called and told me my unit was ready so i drove out and paid him and additional $300 as final payment . He told me he didnt have time to write out a receipt at that time but promised to bring me one as soon as he could .

I got the unit installed within a few days , upon first driving my truck it wouldnt change gears so i called him and informed him i had problems with . He came over to my house and we both took it out on a test drive , during the test drive after he verified it wasnt changing gears he started driving my truck very agressive and after a few miles it started changing gears . His diagnoses was it just needed to be broke in . needless to say after two weeks i was stranded in houston when it quit pulling all together . I had to pay a wrecker $275 to get it back to my house . BTW i had to pay $500 to get it removed and reinstalled . When i called this clown his only words was get it back out and bring it back to me and i'll see if i can figure out what happed !!!! In my opinion this guy should not be allowed to work on anything not made of wood
