PAUL BURNS AUTO GROUP AND BUCKS COUNTY AUTO OUTLET (same company) are a bunch of scammers. DO NOT GO HERE !!
I purchased 2 vehicles here..one for $20K and one for $10k. and had 2 horrible experiences...
about 2 weeks after I bought the car I decided to vaccum it out..and found a loaded 9mm hand gun under the seat. I called and was told that they detailed the car and their was NO way it came from them, and then told me to drive (2 hours) back to them with the gun to let them check it out...NO WAY. I brought it to a police friend of mine to dispose of...if I would have been pulled over in the state of NJ where I live, I would be in jail for having an unregistered fire arm...at the least..imagine if it was a "dirty" gun..the dealer would have not backed me at ALL...
purchased the vehicle in late July..bought a $2k "extended warranty" from PAUL BURNS.....the warranty was NO GOOD...VOID, by the first week of August...Two thousand dollars for a 2 week warranty that I never got to use ?!?!?! That's not fraud ??!?!?!?!
other vehicle was put on the lot and advertised online on 3 different websites for 3 different prices...$15k, $13k, and $12k, all on the same day....that may be legal, but not a good way to do business...
the windows did not work
the door locks did not work
the fuel gauge did not work
i gave a $2k down payment..
it took them a week to fix these problems...
they called 50 times..."it's done", " it's fixed", "everything works"
i got there..(2 hour drive) ...only passenger side was fixed, driver door and window were not even LOOKED at....had to wait another 2 hours for them to fix it....AFTER i signed all papers and PAID IN FULL..no financing...had to pay cash because their finance department is a joke in itself....13% interest rate with a 750 credit score....?!?!?!?
after all this...the water pump on the vehicle went the next day...antifreeze all over my driveway, and not drivable until fixed....
$880 to fix @ dealer....
$500 to fix @ local mechanic...
they want ME TO PAY to tow it to them (approx. $200) and then split the repair bill with them.... witch will be them saying the job is $600 when it only costs them $300, so they will try and get that $300 from me so they end up not spending a penny...
THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, DON'T GO THERE...IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WORKS THERE ASK THEM ABOUT THIS STORY, BECAUSE IT'S 100% TRUE...

HAHAHA...THIS IS ALMOST FUNNY NOW...
"we all have left things without realizing" ...yeah....like a gun ?!?!?!? when was the last time you heard someone say.. "Hey..I forget where I put my loaded hand gun" ......either way...dont try and sell me on the used car salesman pitch about how clean it is and how it just came from the "detail department". I would bet anything that if I would have got in trouble for it being there the dealership would still "know nothing about it". Im sure one of your valued local police customers would have appreciated finding it.
as far as the intrest rate problem...the salesguy called me 5 times telling me everything went thru and come pick up the truck..I had already left a $2,000 deposit the week before...then it went back and forth 300 times from the salesguy (john) to the manager (matt) to the manager (steve) to the finace lady (peggy) who always seemd to be "on luch" or "gone for the day" or "not in yet"...So a week after I left the downpayment they finaly told me the loan wouldnt go thru so I came in a paid the rest..now im very glad I did this and that I have the title in hand..
as far as thier guy staying late...DOES IT MATTER??? truck was done in late morning..didnt get checked to see if everything worked when it came out of the shop??? the shop must be as good as the detal department..it was 4:45 when I went to leave with the truck...you told me it would be a half hour to an hour to fix....So are you REALLY complaining to a customer that one of your shop guys had to stay an extra 45min !?!?!?!?!?! thats a joke...me or my mother was not even offered a cup of water..we walked across the street and got somethign to eat to kill time...so SORRY steve but I had to spend money in thet 45min as well...
as far as the waterpump...it was not drivable...had NO antifreeze...waterpump was completly done..Im 2 hours from dealership...I told them I could send pictures for proof (wich i still have) or they could come get and tow it to them if my word and the reciept was not good enough...waterpump was most likely leaking alrady and half bad.. the dealer running truck back and forth to the shop and detail so many times and my 2 hour drive home must have finished it off... the job was $530 and they paid me back for half..so it still cost me out of pocket as well...and half of that is like 2 pennies to someone who owns this many dealerships and cars, and in my area that type of person would cover something that serious, that soon after purchase..just to keep up his reputation...but I see not everyone does business this way.
ALSO....
batteries (it is a diesel and has 2 batteries) in the truck died recently....i got them tested and charged and it said they were good...the next day they died again...so I looked at batteries and they were wrong batteries for the truck..too small...the truck requires 750 CCA (cold cranking amps) ..batteries in the truck were only 650....so i had to buy 2 new batteries
AND
a spare wheel and tire...the truck had no spare....nothing like being stranded with a dead battery or no spare tire....what a joke...as i said before..DONT BUY A CAR, TRUCK, MOPED, OR SODA from PAUL BURNS AUTO GROUP OR BUCKS COUNTY AUTO OR whatever they go by this week....alot of sales guys post thier stuff on craigslist at different prices and locations as well...it just has a phone number and name an when you call its one of the dealerships 10 phone numbers...

!st, if a customer purchases a used car/truck, if the previous owner leaves something in the car without anybody noticing, how is it the dealer's fault? Let's be real, we all have left things without realizing.....In your car, stuff at your house, ect...If nobody at the dealership knew about a gun hiden under the seat, how can you blame them? Is it right, no, but unfoutunetly nobody found it before the customer, and fourtunetly no one got hurt. Also, knowing that the dealership has been in business for 19 years and is well known through the community, we wanted the opportunity to turn it over to the local police department, which many are valued customers.
Also, the 1st purchase couldn't have been so bad because he came in to make another purchase. The 2nd vehicle was a truck with over 100k miles on it. As everybody knows, the banks have been very tough lending money out, and on this particular truck, they were not going to give a low interest rate because it was 8 years old with over 100k miles on it. If a customer wants a lower interest rate, the vehicle must qualify for it. If the truck didn't qualify, then he needed to find a different truck that does. (Lower miles, newer model year).
Yes, when the customer came to the dealership the door lock assembly suddenly stopped working properly. He doesn't state that the dealership had the mechanic stay and fix the vehicle after his shop closed, so the customer didn't have to drive back and forth. As for his water pump, he never brought the vehicle in to have it checked out. We went by his word over the phone, which is against company policy, to help resovle his issue so he didn't have to bring the vehicle back. He has a warranty that he could use if the vehicle is inspected by the dealerships mechanic, which protects the dealership from fraudulant claims. And he chose not to go that route, so we complied so resolve the matter.
As for the price difference, that shouldn't even come into play if there was any mistake. The customer chopped the price all the way down to $10,600 anyway, on a truck worth much more. So, in conclusion, with all the trouble this customer states he had, he still came in and purchased another truck, and at the time I'm writing this, has agreed verbally to have us help him with any issues. I know this is a forum for people to slander each other, but I will not drop to that level.
