This is a case of outrageous behavior by a Mississippi Attorney that includes over billing, negligence, resignation without good reason, and having a gun as backup, instead of diplomacy.

Attorney Paul Rogers started a job, exercised negligence, got offended I complained and quit. Rogers over billed me, and had a gun in his desk drawer when I went into office to talk about his billing and he ordered me to leave.

Rogers lied when he said I terminated him. Rogers quit when he got offended that I complained to Pre-Paid Legal that Rogers was not doing his job. In order to not forget Rogers advise, I taped all of the conversations we had. Rogers told me he quit over the telephone.

Rogers billing is outrageous.

1- Rogers quit an unfinished job. Nobody will hire a contractor, mechanic, doctor, architect or Attorney if they know he is going to exercise negligence and quit after receiving a complaint about it. It is hard to find an Attorney to finish another Attorney's job.
2- Rogers billed me for emailed or mailed questions that went unanswered. Where are his replies to my email and letters he billed me to read? There are none. Did he even read my email and letters? After two weeks of no receiving no reply from Rogers to an important question by email, fax or letter, I would call Rogers and ask what is his answer? Rogers usually had the same reply I'll have to look into it. But Rogers never did look into it.
3- Rogers billed at $150 instead of the $131.50 agreed upon in writing.
4- Rogers lied that he picked up any box or shipped any box to me. Rogers told me my brother dropped it off at Rogers office. Rogers delayed sending the box with an excuse it is so hard. So I called UPS and paid to have it shipped in 15 minutes.
5- Attorney Rogers was not monitoring the Probate Court proceedings and a payment to creditors was authorized in August 07 that I did not learn about until I checked myself in October 07 with Rankin County Clerk of Courts that an Order was granted by the Judge back in August.
6- Rogers provided me no monthly statements which is standard operating procedure in the Legal Industry. Rogers billing is retaliatory. When I complained to Pre-Paid Legal, Rogers consumed my $2,000 retainer and billed me an additional $559. When I complained to Mississippi Bar, Rogers increased his billing another $700. If I get this outrageous case in Clarion Ledger or Local Television, is Rogers going to retaliate and bill me more?

I want Rogers to refund the unused portion of my retainer and to remove the lien he placed on me in Rankin Court.
