DOGG DIGITAL speakers rip-off in Escondido, California

My brother and I were leaving the Submarina in Escondido, CA when two guys approached us and asked us if we were interested in a Professional Home Theater system.

We dumbly went over to the back of their red suburban and fell into their story about their boss needing them to get rid of these speakers as soon as possible. They had an invoice to show that they had been bought at some warehouse and said that they worked for Jerry Zoukerman at Tristar Productions as deliverers.

They are intelligent guys who know what they are talking about when it comes to speakers, anybody could easily be talked into this con.

The guys told me the original price was $2000 and that I was getting a great deal of $300. I finally "talked"them into going down to $200 and they settled for $200 plus $20 for beer.

I immediately went to Circuit City and Good Guys to get a receiver, and found out that nobody had ever heard of DOGG speakers.

I came home and found the many sad stories of people who have also been pulled into this trap. I called both numbers, Tristar Productions and this Jerry guy and eachtime I just get an answering machine.

BEWARE of men selling anything from the back of their cars. WE all know from movies and common sense not to even pay attention to people pulling you over to their car.

Anyway, I am just one more naive victim... dont become one.
