Paws To Admire Does Not Work on all dogs-no refund... Internet

Sorry for the negative press. I am not a negative person, and I think I was just surprised by the fact that I could not return something that I was not satisfied with. I realize that I was beyond the 7 day return period, and the only reason I checked to see if I could return them was I ran across the 3 unused bands this week and wondered if the company would take them back to resell to someone else. I just moved and unpacked 300 boxes of household items, and the bands were among them. I didn't mean to start a firestorm. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I will donate the unused bands to the local animal shelter.

Hello, I am the owner of this company.

What the buyer has "forgotten" to mention is that she purchased these items over 2 months ago.  Yes, we do have a 7-day return policy and we are happy to extend it another week or so when the buyer requests, but over 2 months is not acceptable.  She purchased these belly bands on Dec 12 2009, she received them on Dec 17 2009, and didn't contact us about returning them until Feb 19 2009.  Even QVC has only a 30-day return policy!

Regarding our bands not working on a smooth coated dog, this is completely untrue.  The reason the bands did not work is not because her dog had a smooth coat, it was because the bands she ordered were not WIDE enough because she chose the wrong width for her dachshund.  Dachshunds as we all know are very long, therefore need a wide band.  She ordered belly bands with only a 4.5" width which is standard for short waisted dogs.  When buyers place an order we do not know what breed of dog they are purchasing for.  We have a size chart on all of our belly band pages so buyers can decide for themselves which width would be appropriate for their dogs.   We also have a seperate product listing especially for "Extra wide bands" for these types of dogs.  This buyer simply ordered the wrong size and didn't attempt to return them until after 2 months had gone by.

Furthermore, we do not accept returns for USED dog diapers, as this is completely unsanitary.  In 2 months the bands are likely full of dog hair, or dust, possibly dog urine from "testing", and any house smells are absorbed by the bands.  If they are smokers, the bands will smell like smoke.  These factors all make these bands unsanitary and unable to be resold.  This is the reason for our 7-day return policy on UN-used items.  This way buyers can test them to be sure they fit correctly and if not, they can immediately return the unused bands.  Not wear them for 2 months and then attempt to return the used dog diapers!  The average customer knows if they will work for their dog within a day or two, it does not take 2 months.

This buyer is attempting to tarnish our business because (1) she ordered the wrong size and (2) she didn't decide to return them until after using them for over 2 months.

We sent this customer a very professional and friendly email stating the reason we could not accept her return and why, and even offered a solution to help the bands fit her dog.  We did not hear back from her.

We are a very honest business and we work very hard to please our customers and get our orders out as quickly as possible, sometimes working around the clock.  It is very rare that we get a complaint about our products or our service.  We have NO complaints against us at the Better Business Bureau. 

Please take all of this into consideration when reading this "complaint".  Not all buyers who make a complaint on this forum have a valid one.
