although it was just a dollar, i never was downloaded the material i paid for. the promotional said it was a $1.00 for 3 days, and a $1.00 a month thereafter. i couldn't get out of the porno material first show on the screen. the only way i could get out was by closing it out. if these people try and scam me out of more money each month, something should be done to these people to try and get people's money returned and this practice stopped.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

You are in a vulnerable situation--and I pray you did NOT use your debit card

AUTHOR: Jacqueline - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 27, 2003

Paycom.net is a major billing service on the Internet. They have been around since 1996. They were one of the first to provide this type of service to Web Hosts, and Webmasters, etc.

Even if it was a small amount, keep an eye out. Watch your credit card bill, because they are getting complaints from many about unauthorized charges.

It is NOT safe to use a debit card online, because you are basically opening your personal bank account to the WWW. Banks are sometimes more inflexible, when not as well informed about eMarketing. Credit cards have kept up with the times, and actually have "Dispute Departments". Different cards might have different terms for this type of service. You can find it through your theft hotline or probably just the regular customer service number.

It is important that you communicate with them, and that they make an effort to restore your trust. Here is some contact information which might help. They were not hard to find, and not trying to hide (I suspect), because their location information is rock solid and consistent. If only others were so easy, I could give out more Rebuttals.

Principal contact: Jeffrey Thaler
Phone: 1-888-627-3888
FAX: 1-310-287-5519
email: jthaler@paycom.net

This might just be a simple technical error, that the Webmaster or technical contact might even need to know about:

Technical contact: Tony Keith
4215 Glencoe Avenue, First Floor
Marina Del Ray, CA, 90292
Phone: 1-310-827-5880
email: tonyk@paycom.net

Communicate your experience. There might be an easy resolution.

Be careful out there, and Happy New Year.
