I've been a member of paypal four years and just now have had my first problem. This has been a real wakeup call for me, when and if my problems are resolved I will never use them again!

I was contacted by paypal Dec,8 2005 and informed that there was a chargeback for 509.00 against my account. The reason for the chargeback was unauthorized credit card use. (the buyers card had been stolen) One of the reasons that I'm having problems is that there is no proof of delivery (makes no sense, as they never said that they didn't receive the product).

My buyer lives only an hour from me ,so why would I ship the order? I got a hold of the buyer right away as the transaction was legit they then asked paypal to cancel the chargeback.

It's now Jan 5 2006 and after numerous emails and phone calls to paypal (they can't seem to answer my questions).
Paypal is demanding the money from me. Plus they even charged me a $10.00 service charge! I only had about
100.0 in my paypal account but from everything that I've read lately I'm starting to believe that I may never get it back.

I went into this foolishly believing that since I'm a honest person that this would all be cleared up right away. Wrong!

I would advise anyone to use extreme caution when dealing with paypal.

Paypal only good for small stuff

Never use paypal for anything you cannot afford to lose.

They do not follow the guidelines of a credit card and are NOT FDIC insured or regulated.

They got me too. No dispute resolution at all.

PayPal is owned by Ebay.

PAY PAL DID SAME TO ME .I HAD A BUYER WIN SEVERAL AUCTIONS FROM ME, SHE HAD ABOUT 20 F.B. BUT ONLY BEEN ON EBAY ABOUT A MONTH.SHE PAID AND AS ACCORDING NEW MY TERMS I SENT HER ITEMS 3 DAYS LATER.. A WEEK AFTER PAYPAL REVERSED HER PAYMENTS OF 80.00, SENT ME AN EMAIL SAYING SHE WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR FRAUDULANT FUNDS....WHAT DID THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ME/ I HAD EVEN ALREADY TRANSFERED HER PAYMENT TO MY BANK ACCOUNT I CONSIDERED THIS SELL FINAL. TO ME THATS UNFAIR PAYPAL SHOULD INVESTIGATE BEFORE LETTING PEOPLE OPEN ACCOUNT, SHE WAS EVEN CONFIRMED ON PAYPAL,BUT OF COURSE DUE TO TRYING TO SAVE SHIPPING I HAD NO TRACKING# SO IM OUT,SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAD SAME ISSUE WITH HER AT SAME TIME.....THANKS PAYPAL FOR YOUR SELLER PROTECTION.
