Today, several pop-ups began intruding on my computer while I was using it. These pop-ups claimed to be in the process of stopping trojan horse viruses and other invasions to my computer, and referenced Webroot (which I already have and which a legit security software) and that my computer would be unprotected unless I took immediate action and paid $79.95. These pop-ups interrupted everything I was doing on the computer, and even shut down my computer several times, giving me an error screen with the blue background (the kind that makes you think your computer has encuntered some kind of fatal software). I couldn't even open attachments on my emails - an error message would come that said I had some .exe error. So, I wound up paying the $79.95 with my credit card - because this was coming from Webroot.

Some hours after I paid the 79.95, I get a receipt email with no phone number, address or other contact info. and showing the merchant as PC Bug-Repair.Com

I am calling the credit card company in the morning, but in the meantime, this person now has my credit card number as well as my address and phone number. How can this be stopped? Also, I read another report from someone else that says they erased this person's domain from their computer. How do you do that?
