pch.com Mike Freeman, President pch.com scam letter received Vancouver, British Columbia

Received a letter with Canadian postage on it. Opened it to find a letter (which was poorly done apparently in Photoshop and printed with an inkjet printer) from Mr. Mike Freeman, President PCH and a heading of pch.com.

I was instructed to call Mr. Timothy Williamson immediately at their Washington office wo make arrangements for deposit of $870,000 into my account. I am to contact nobody until the arrangements have been processed.

They even offer legal and financial planning help! lol

The footer of the letter contains a smeared barcode as well as areference to global offices in North and South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. For some reason, the Visa and Mastercard logos are at the bottom.

The first flag was the fact that the grammar was horrible. That and the REALLY bad print job.

PCH has stated on their legit site that ANY prize $10k or over will be delivered IN PERSON. I might have some fun with this letter and call them to get their hopes up that they scammed me, but I wanted to ensure that I posted the info for posterity sake.

Scams are at an all-time high and growing. Please, doubt first! If it's legit, it will play itself out aboveboard and in the open. No legit agency would tell you to keep things quiet. I'll try to post the end result (if any) of my "investigating"/antagonizing....
