i own a local small magazine here in the Bay Area, Northern California, I occassionaly do web searches to see if there are site using our material without permission. I have found several site posting our digital magazine up on their sites as "free" which is not the case at ll. We charge for our publication both print and digital. I have found this sites doing this are full of all types of crap that we have nor want anything to do with, such as spam, ridirection links, etc. Not to mention they are stealing our publication. They even have the nerve to post a DMCA that talks about copyright, if you never ask the owner for the right to publish or use/sell their work you are in violation of copyright infringement.

I have posted some of these sites:

ebookee.com, pdf, pdfmagaz.in, ebookl.com; what I found out is these scam websites will buy a copy of your digital publication then place it on their scam site, never giving the company/owner of the material credit or money for using and sometimes selling their product. 

If you come across any site that offers a product please make sure it is the orignial owenr, copyright stealing only hurts the consimer, as I have now had to pull down digital issues. 

I have been attacking these site with the help of Google who has been pulling down the sites from web searches.
