Seems like I'm not the only poor soul that has been ripped off by this terrible, horrible, satanic company. I can't believe what I have been through with this company. I have never dealt with these type of people EVER.

My husband and I signed for a 2005 Ford Taurus in Feb of 2005. The car had over 12,000 on it already, and it was only a month old. We were desperate. We only had one car and had to do what we had to do.

For the past 4 years we have paid $540/month. We've had a couple of 'hard' times and had 2 deferments... supposedly. Our first company was River Valley Credit Union, the FlatIron, now Peak 5. Regardless, Peak 5 is the WORST.

I've paid late before... I admit. HOWEVER, in March of this year I was two months behind because I was laid off. SO, in March I paid for January and February through our checking account and they were to defer March for us. On March 20th they were to debit $1,118 for January and February. INSTEAD they debited $1,258, which cleared, and then attempted to debit $1,118 TWICE, that did not clear. THANK GOD.

Not only did they debit the wrong amount, they then tried to turn around and debit the correct amount TWICE on top of the one that was wrong that actually cleared. Needless to say, they screwed our account way way up. Close to $500 in NSF fees later, I struggled with Peak 5 to get them to fix what they had done. This happened on March 20th, and I received my refund on April 23rd...thanks for your quick response JERKS. They only refunded my money after I contacted the BBB and refused payment until they refunded the NSF fees.

My money got refunded so I was going to make my payment, until they repossessed my car on May 4th!! When the repo guy showed up he said you're behind $2,450...WRONG!!!!! and that according to peak 5 I still owed $14,000, again WRONG!!!!

Lets do the math... I paid Jan and Feb. March was to be deferred. So, April and May payment due as of May 4th, so $540+$540=NOT $2,450...I'm no math scholar but I know that doesn't answer what they claimed I was behind. And again, lets do the math on what I owe...I've paid $25,920. (48 months, $540/moth). NOW I do realize of the 25g's interest is included in that...HOWEVER, I signed for a car for $17,000! And, they say I owe $14,000. I am BOGGLED by how that is even close to possible. That means I will have paid $39,920! HUH?!?!

I need help! I need help in the worst way! They now have my car...for about 4 days. I can't possibly owe that much more. The car is paid for almost 1.5 times. Good God, this has to be against the law. What do I do? What can I do? Please help me, anyone, someone!
