Like many of us, I would like to have whiter teeth.  So, I followed the links to a website called Pearl-e-whites.com.  Their home page says you can order a trial package so I did.  It was supposed to be a free trial - you pay only the shipping/handling of $4.79.

I read through the contract very carefully and learned that you will automatically be enrolled in an auto-ship program and your cc will be billed $97.96/every month!  It said you could cancel anytime.  I certainly didn't want that, but I decided to go ahead and give the trial package a go.  I just made sure to call as soon as it arrived and tell them I didn't want to be enrolled in an auto-ship program.

The representative then offered me a reduced price of approximately $45/month.  That was also too high a price.  So, I told her to just cancel my auto-ship and I will give the trial pen a fair try.

But, no! That little pen IS their monthly order!  I was already being billed the full price.  If I want my money back, I will have to send my "trial" back (no 14 days to use it) and then my card will only be billed $24.95 for 'Processing!'  That made me really mad.  There was no mention of a processing fee in the contract.  It said I would be billed for the shipping of $4.79 - no problem!

She also told me that "they don't do trial offers."  However, go to their website and it clearly says, "Get Your Trial Package Now!"

I got pretty insistent on the phone with her and told her I did not want to be billed ANYTHING except the shipping as mentioned in their ads and on their website.  She gave me an address where I can send my 'free trial' back to and then they will give me all my money back.

I plan to empty the pen before I send it back.  This is no way to do business - even if you read through the contract, they still have ways to bill you for more than origianlly advertised, and you don't get a 'free trial.'

You can find numerous whitening pens if you just google: teeth whitening pens.  Pearl-e-whites says their main ingredient is "Carbomide Peroxidide" but it's just a peroxide.  If you want whiter teeth, look for pens or other products w/peroxide and use them as directed.

You really don't get what you pay for in this case!  The trial is a joke.  You will pay dearly for it.  Also, no tooth whitening system is worth $100/month.  You can get your teeth whitened by your dentist for a lot less than $1200/year!

Buyer beware and don't waste your time or money on Pearl-e-whites.  You could end up paying alot of money for a trial.
