I was looking to earn some extra money. I found internet ad for processing rebates online for major Department stores. They also advertise a satisfaction money back guaranty. It sounded so legit. I usually am very weary of this type of advertisement.

To make a long story short...I paid $197 via credit card for opportunity. I was told I could start immediately. I received an email with a link to download instructions. Received a 60 page download with instructions for an internet business that has nothing to do with processing rebates. It seems to be an internet sales scam.

I sent an email to the customer service email address and received a response stating that someone would contact me within 24 hours. Needless to say, noone called me back. I sent a second email and then the lightbulb went off in my head and I realized it was a scam. Sure enough, I should have researched this further and I would have seen all the complaints for this scam. I feel like a fool.

I immediately called my credit card company but found out they already received an authorization # for payment. Although payment has not yet been paid, I still have to watch my statement. I canceled my credit card since they have my account number and other pertinent information. The credit card company is sending me an affidavit to complete and notorize if a charge does appear on my statement.

My plan now is to contact the New York State Attorney General's Office along with the Better Business Bureau. I plan on doing everything I can to put an end to this and shut them down.
