people helping people is a total scam and a joke. its run by a scary very strange character named patrick betdavid. they are a multi-level mktg finance co. they talk about "making history" and "changing america"....in reality they are your normal mlm financial deal with no credibility.

i was invited to a mtg given by the head cult leader betdavid. (my colleague who invited me has since quit and cancelled his super expensive cash value life insurance policy) he makes a bunch of outlandish statements about history and vision etc. the quality of the people i saw was terrible. mainly very young..very gullable .... all with these cult like stares on their faces. they drink the betdavid kool aid. they asked me for 25 names of my friends we were going to go"help" and "train me" with. what they really do is take these names and try and recruit them and sell them life insurance into the pyramid. it was very obvious most all the people there were stone broke and living off of the future promises made by the cult leader betdavid. they parade a couple paid advertisements as "endorsements" to give this ponzi scheme credibility. several companies have already stopped doing business with php...they are down to only 2 or 3 life insurance companies who even do business with them , way too many people who buy from them..end up cancelling once they find out about the scam and the expensive life insurance they sell. you are always better off buying term insurance...look at dave ramsey for good advice on life insurance.

the whole thing is wrapped in god, country and freedom..so poor these people buy that stuff instead of looking at the details of the business model. literally 99% of the people make zero money. i asked over 30 people there how much they had made...28 had made zero. 1 had made $500 in one year and the other guy left a 80k a yr job and made 14k last yr! lost his home ...very sad

if you have a family member who joined this deal. do an intervention! they are probably young and dont have any experience in business and dont know a scam when they see one.

the most disturbing part of the experience was the total lack of basic financial skill and understanding the PHP associates have. As a college economics professor, i was shocked at the lack of understanding of the licensed people. i asked basic questions about capital gains questions, investments etc and these poor people looked like deers in the headlights. NEVER buy a product from these people ....they are scary.

i have no doubt they will be out of business within 3 years, i have written a report to the california department of insurance. many people there solicit life insurance sales without licenses and openly discuss products without any idea what they are even talking about.

this place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

so sad..to see so many poor people believing this ridiculous pitch. by every definition of the word it is a SCAM.

If you join any kind of MLM, you are going to lose money. If you *stay* in an MLM, you are an idiot. It is mathematically impossible to have an MLM where anybody but the very top percent make money. Again, you WILL lose money on it.

people helping people scam

let me clean up the misinformation the php "owner" posted above.  PHP does not have 6000 licensed people, they dont have 500 licensed people.  they have duped 6000 good people into wasting their time and money by giving them a hiring fee and then giving them a list of all their friends and family.they are a small agency when it comes to production and licenses with a lot of unkowing young people running around without licenses, pretending to be financial professionals.

The "founder" and "author and visionary" Patrick Betdavid comes across more like the "Borat" of financial services.  If you have seen the movie Borat , you will see it right away when you see him speak.  Hes a very weird middle eastern guy (iranian) whos always gotta a camera , and hes acting his way through the whole thing.  Hes trying so hard to be a "motivator" , and it comes off almost like theres a hidden camera. Or like an old Amway meeting, where they hold up god  and the flag and "freedom" etc..Except, this Betdavid is hard to watch.   I cant explain it , until you see it.  You would sit around and think, "are any of you people actually believing this guy"  ..i kept wanting to laugh or stand up and find the hidden camera.

dont waste your time , money and most importantly your credibility with your family and friends by going anywhere near this deal.

Barry

People Helping People is a SCAM!

AUTHOR: wasted my time - (United States of America)

I would agree with barry w (above), implicitly, they DO have a pyramid-based MLM structured scam which requires associates to provide a monthly quota of numerous down-line newbies like yourself in order to keep feeding the people above in the pyramid.  Supporting the upper structure of the pyramid is the sole reason you exist and it won't be disclosed to you there is a quota on how many other unfortunate newbies you must bring in until you're fully entrenched financially by initial fees (usually $100-150), members fees, internet maintenance fees, license fees, convention fees, etc.  Oh, and they'll impart this other little tidbit after a time that you must be a policy holder of their insurance in order to be able to help people not to mention they will tack on more & more fees as you get pulled in further and further.  The income/revenue for PHP is significantly based on the new associates.  The fact is in this depressed economy these cockroaches come out of the woodwork even in daylight when there are more vulnerable people searching for jobs and ways to save their family home from foreclosure, etc.

When I went to the initial meeting at PHP it was because it was falsely described by a PHP rep as a "networking" group of business people. The meeting consisted of about 75 people milling about with this loud blaring music that I surmised later to be a mind-numbing tactic that even cults use to keep you from focusing on what is really happening.  Also, most of these people are newly inducted associates and PHP veterans who are supposed to introduce themselves to newbies like myself and tell them how great it is being a member over and over, it had the opposite effect on me and which made me think think they're a bit strange & this could be Scientology or some other cult group!  A bit weird from the very beginning, but I stayed because of curiosity as to what these guys were going to pull next.  This guy came to the podium and he had way too much coffee or something! So much that I thought he was going to instruct us to do jumping-jacks any minute.  After an hour of this speakers' energetic endorsement of PHP and repeated shouting & applause from the lemming audience the "newbies" like myself were herded into smaller rooms and then were lectured by a speaker on how ridiculous it is not to be as smart & rich as he is basically.   Lastly they sent me into an individual room with an up-line associate who tells how lucky I am to be allowed into PHP and for me to give him $100 for my initial membership then sign on the last page of an agreement and doesn't give you all of it to read.  He was visibly perturbed by my questions as to other costs, commission percentages, lead lists and where is the rest of the agreement dude???  Finally he leaves the room & reluctantly gives me the remainder of the agreement and again asks that I sign it right then and there & give him the required payment! I tell him I'll look it over and wish to leave.  He asks me if he can call me tomorrow for coffee.  I say ok and he repeatedly calls me the next morning.  When I meet him for coffee he coincidentally meets another member of PHP (what a serendipity!) who also tells me what an enormous honor it is to be part of PHP...wow! After he gives me the costs  and some more bs I ask him if there are any other fees and he assures me that the initial $100 plus membership fees, license fee and convention pkg cost are everything.  I give him my ccard info, sign the agreement and 1099.  Yes...embarrassed to admit I too was ALMOST duped and feel silly for it but then AFTER ALL THAT, he tells me I am also required to carry one of PHP's insurance policies in order to begin at which point I demand the ccard info, agreement & 1099 BACK!! PLEASE Don't be scammed, they'll tell you whatever it takes to convince you to give them your money!  Be very careful of people like Charles Cieslar of Symar above who identifies himself as a company owner! This warning is so you won't waste your time like I did with this MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing) Pyramid SCAM!

People Helping People is a Very Credible

AUTHOR: Charles Cieslar - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 08, 2012
People Helping People is company that stands helping America get to a better place financially. If you open your eyes and look around at our economy people are suffering financially from the top of our government to the individual families. At PHP we believe in bringing back the free enterprise system and basic responsibilities to America, these are some of the principles that once made our nation great.

As for credibility People Helping People has been featured on Forbes, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, and Fox News as one of the fastest growing financial services companies in America today. Starting from an original 75 individuals to now having over 6,000 agents in over 33 states. Successful men such as Dudley Rutherford, Steve Wozniak (The Co Founder of Apple), and Glenn Beck support and sponsor our company, free of charge. They believe People Helping People is positioned to help the millions of American Families who have lacked a basic understanding of financial education for far too long.

Here at People Helping People we take pride in what we do for families. You say we offer expensive cash value policies and we are only down to 2 or 3 companies working with us. I'm proud to say you are wrongfully informed, we do what's best for the family 100% of the time. Based on your current circumstances we show families the pros and cons of different types of programs to find out what would be most suitable for the family. We represent certain companies like American General, Lincoln Financial, Mutual of Omaha, Fidelity and Guarantee Life, and many more. Some of these companies have an A plus rating and have been around for over 100 years.

I have personally been in the industry for several years and I can tell you that People Helping People is a company that will make history for the services we provide. We work with world class people with high integrity and we absolutely value our clients, our faith, our family, and our business. If you are someone who wants to know more about the truth of People Helping People I would be happy to explain to you in further detail about the real opportunity to make a difference in other families lives at the same time focusing on helping your family get to a better place. Take Care and God Bless everybody!
(P.S. I hope you would do your research on a more  credible site from well established people or companies, not from someone who is ill informed and very one sided.)
