people to people Complete bs COMPLETE BS Internet

Being a 17 year old junior in high school, I was elated when I received the invitation to people to people. Upon further research, I found out that the program was very expensive (between $5000 and $8000). But I knew that I could fundraise the money. After going to the first meeting, I found out that my trip would be $7295, and I had 3 months to get it, and there were only a couple slots left.  after deciding a payment plan,I  was willing to put forth my $250 for the application and initial deposit, but realized that I couldn't make the remaining $2,500 within 30 days.

My parents could not give me the other $250 for the other payment plans, because I only have one working parent and two other very active siblings. After I listed fund raisers and calculated the amount of money needed in order to reach my goal, I couldn't even APPLY. I called People to People to see if we could work something out, and received a very unsympathetic "save some money and apply next year." Next year I'm in college....I was utterly heartbroken and felt cheated by this program. People rave about how amazing the program is, and how well they work with you financially. I saw none of this
