Think twice before interviewing with this company. Peoples Associates Structural Engineers claims they want to hire experienced engineers according to his ads. Rotary International member and Firm Founder Donald R. Peoples claims he treats his employees well.  Unfortunately, this is not true at all.

During an interview, he told a potential employee that he prefers to hire people out of school and retain them than to hire someone experienced from another company. Based on his actions, Donald Peoples allegedly may be related to Jim Jones of the Guyana Massacre. Professional liability insurance companies see this as a red flag. Why send a resume for an interview then? Donald R. Peoples, husband of Janice Peoples, is great at many things such as wasting time, apparently. I mean, why have a phone interview and an in-person interview if you don't wish to hire them to begin with! It's his sick and twisted attempt to show prospective applicants why his firm is bad. This is not how you treat people well! Maybe Don Peoples is allegedly gathering resumes to attempt to get work, then he'll hire them later and then fire them when he fails to get the work! There's no proof of this, but it certainly appears this way.

Cal Poly Dumb Guy Christopher Taplin told a prospective experienced engineer that he didn't know him/her during their in-person interview at Peoples Associates. This means that Taplin has truly ever understood the purpose of an interview to begin with. Maybe Taplin expected to give his nephew or other family members the position.  Even worse yet, Taplin never got a Master's Degree like some of his candidates did. Taplin has given stand-up comedians new material to use for their acts.

Expect never ever to receive a call back even though you are qualified to save their clients money in the millions. We believe this means Peoples Associates is only interested in racking up engineering fees to make money for the firm and not truly benefit the firm's clients.  A firm that truly benefits the clients saves the clients and associated parties money. We also believe that it means that Peoples is willing to lie about the competition to anyone he interviews.  Peoples became upset when this was fact-checked. Of course, if Peoples cannot be honest about his competition, what else is he not honest about? Peoples is a Machivellian individual who will do anything to obtain work for his firm based on the counters we have noted.

What Peoples Associates has failed to realize is that they have attracted the attention of California Assemblyman Mike Allen. Allen has passed a law prohibiting discrimination against the long term unemployed.   What better reason to get this law passed than to use the structural engineering industry as its whipping boy? Allen's loves our idea of boycotting the companies associated with those that discriminate against the long-term unemployed.

Many of the people out there have asked who worked for Peoples Associates.  Their names are Michael Keaster, Azlan B. Ezaddin, S.E., Matthew Knutsen, Hans Maarten, and Bill Wells.
