I bought this warranty three years ago for $2,840. I have had two claims: 1. had an oil leak from one of the CV joints 2. the alternator went out. The alternator costs $842.00 with parts and labor. They are only picking up $505.49 of it. They cap the labor at $84 an hour and require your repair shop to go through Meridian to get the parts. They are also charging me a $100 deductible for this.

I paid $2800 for this warranty and have received less than $1,000 in benefit over the 3 year period I have had it. Not a good investment. You would be better off, not getting a warranty and paying yourself $200 a month into a savings fund to pay for repairs when they happen.

Obviously, they have found out how to make money in selling these warranties to people. Nickel and dime them, charge a deductible and hopefully your car stays together long enough for them to keep most of the money you paid them.
