We bought a new truck from this company and USED to be happy with the service dept. UNTIL we took my Taurus to be serviced, BIG MISTAKE. We wanted the a/c serviced so they had my car a week the FIRST time with noone calling we had to call then to find out about the car.
Was told the mechanic said the a/c system needed to be retrofitted,he didn't bother to say he could fix the leak and recharge the system, first they replaced the accumulator and the new part they ordered was defective so that was sent back, repaired and put in the car.
After a week we picked up the car got home and there was a leak, Took the car back, they had to replace the highside hose which should have been done on the original retro fit. A/C is still NOT workig, took the car back and they said it was fine to drive it and if it doesn't cool bring it back.
Well its not cooling so I bring it back they say my compressor is bad. WRONG there is nothing wrong with the compressor it is working fine. I come back again (mind you this is all after I have paid my bill and my car is "fixed") they say they have talked with Ford people and now know what the problem is, all they have to do is flush the system and recharge and my problem will be solved..Come back at 5:30 to pick up my car....guess what....its still NOT fixed.
They said they don't have books on Fords here and now they need to put another part in my car and cost me another $317.18. But that I am only gonna be paying cost for the part (which is a lie, they gave me list price thinking I wouldn"t check?) I found out that the part "they" say needs to be replaced does NOT need to be replaced.
If these people couldn't and didn't know how to fix my car , why in the world didn't they say so in the first place. So after all this time and money thanks to the idiots at PERFORMANCE I still have no a/c but have spent plenty of money on having them fix it. So my words to you are BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE!

Good lord Performance Chevrolet!!!!! I took my car to Courtesy Ford in Elizabeth City since Performance could not do things right....They fixed my car properly and in the process informed me of other parts that needed to be replaced, but Performance supposedly had already replaced these parts and charged me for them...Well they did not replace them but still charged me.....sounds like FRAUD to me. So I had Courtesy Ford replace the "new parts" and give me the ones they took out, which were clearly NOT new parts. I took the parts back to Performance and at least they gave me some money back....BUT the point being....THEY LIED AND COMMITTED FRAUD IF YOU ASK ME. They are members of the BBB and I have filed a complaint on them...
BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE RIPOFFS!

They have now called me to let me know that they have my part for my car......hahaha......but the problem is it is not the part I need and they have no clue? Sounds like to me they are looking to take me for even more money.....DON"T THINK SO!!!!!!!!
