I was so excited when I found a chihuahua puppy on the internet, the listing on the website said she wasn't many miles away from my home so I was very suprised when the seller contacted me and told me he was in Scotland. This obviously put me off but when he said he would deliver the puppy and all it would cost me was the 130 delivery fee I changed my mind.

I told the seller that I would like to take the puppy in a week or two as long as I could pay cash or cheque on delivery, I was very suprised when 'Pet Air' contacted me the following day and said that the puppy had already been sent to me but I would need to pay the delivery fee before they could deliver her to my home, below is the email they sent to me when I asked how I could pay this fee:

You can make these payment via post office using the MONEY GRAM services or WESTERN UNION during your break time.This money is to be send to the head quarter of the agency because our ABERDEEN BANK ACCOUNT is under auditing,we do not receive CHECK,CREDIT CARD OR BANK TO BANK transfer,only wire transfer by WESTERN UNION ONLINE OR MONEY GRAM.This payment is to be done to the head quarter of our agency following the payment address bellow this email to our head quarter director address

WE REQUIRE A CONFIRMATION OF ADDRESS TO AVOID WRONG DELIVERY, AFTER CONFIRMATION OF ADDRESS, AND AFTER MAKING PAYMENT, JUST EMAIL US BACK WITH THE REFERENCE NUMBERS OF THE MONEY TRANSFER.

The seller told me that he was sorry he sent her so early and he could take her back, IF we paid the delivery fee.I was still sceptical so I refused to do this and spent a day arguing backwards and forwards as I didn't see why I couldn't pay by card/cash/cheque when the puppy was actually delivered as I had no proof that this sale was genuine. Both the seller and 'Pet Air' got very argumentative with me and tried to bully me into making the payment by making me feel bad about the puppy being stuck at the airport and it ended with 'Pet Air' telling me to forget about the delivery and the seller telling me not to email back uless I was going to pay as it would make him very angry.

That was when I googled the company and found several reports confirming exactly the same experience I had.

I wanted to report this as I know there are a lot of people out there who would be taken in by something like this and I want to stop that from happening.
