Peter Cadman at CrossHill Kennels guarantee is useless. He states that the dog will be replaced within 36 months if it has any behavioral or genetic problem, or if the dog shows any disqualifying fault according to standards of CKC and AKC. Well the dog we got has Crytorchidism and I notified him immediately. He will neither replace the dog nor help with vet bills for required surgery. In addition the dog has severe behavioral problems. I've heard from others that have also bought dogs from him that have genetic problems and again he failed to replace the animals. I'm really concerned what's in store for me with this dog as he ages. His dogs look beautiful but apparently that's all he breeds for; not health and temperament as stated on his website.

He admitted to me that this problem has show up twice before in this line and that the dogs live a quality life This may be true, with proper surgery, but my vet said that no ethical breeder would keep breeding a line with this defect. He should honor his written guarantee or at the very least help with future vet bills and required surgery. I notified Peter Cadman and let him know I was filing this report and look forward to his comments

Don't buy from CrossHill Kennel

AUTHOR: Nate Dog - (Canada)

POSTED: Saturday, January 02, 2016

i have been looking for a puppy for almost a yr, I have been to many breeders in the area, I have spoke to many people who have bought puppies from Peter. I have spoken with vets in the area who have looked after puppies from crosshill,

He sells puppies that are sick and have gotten parvo, and many other parasites from his property, when the puppies dies or almost dies he says it is not his fault. Well a puppy dies with in a day of leaving the property I think it is his fault!

he doesnt do hip testing on his dogs and if he does most barely pass with a fair rating. Many people never get their CKC reg for the dog.

Yes I have heard dogs are very aggressive from his kennel too,

He breeds dog that have degenerate Myelopathy or are carriers of this. This will cripple your dog when it is older and the dog will have to be put down.

Not all breeders are perfect I have heard a few stories about other breeders but nothing like I have heard about CrossHill Kennels.

POSTED: Saturday, November 01, 2014

Dave I rreceived a Shepard as a gift.  ( from Peter cadman) I never met Peter and this dog is the best animal I ever own. easy to train great temperament and a wonderful friend. I believe this is another online shake down. And seems to be a new phenomenon other venders have been ripped off by buyers it's happened to a number of small Canadian online companies where the manipulate the monitors on web sites so they get the product and are giving the money back. alot from the US. to me Dave wants money for nothing and dogs for free

Never knew that Peter had horses?

AUTHOR: Sue - ()

POSTED: Friday, July 26, 2013

Dave, you really do not know much about breeding GSD's do you? And since when can all of that "horse feed fit under a GSD when it probably would make a horse feel uncomfortable?"

Everyone knows that emails and Peter's own words can be twisted around and as for that "Massive" thing that you accuse him of using would of course be the male GSD? As a past breeder a male GSD does not get that "massive" until both dogs are locked together in order for the breeding to be successfull. That is why they call it locked because the male does become quite swollen.

Dave, I would never put a dog's life before a humanbeing's so why try to ruin Peter's? I purchased a GSD from the worst people on the face of this earth because they would not honour their guarentee!  I was told all about Crosshill kennel's and how this so called breeder lived really close to Peter years ago but then foundout that the pup that I purchased from them was the Grandson of one of Peter's GSD's, so this only goes to show that breeder was so envious of Peter and would not even mention his name until after I had the pup for awhile!

This so called breeder gave my pup's pedigree so much praise and even told me which GSD was the Grandfather to mine!  And I will take the witness stand to verify that this person has also reported Peter and for what reason? Probably the same sick reason why everyone else is envious of Peter, they want him shut down to get more business for themselves.

Because of the negitive side of of this pup's breeding he is only to be yet another pet because the breeder's will not honour their guarentee but I can return him and they will dispose of him and instead of giving my money back I have to wait until maybe another year before they have another litter!!! That kennel has also admitted to interbreeding!

I will be purchasing a pup from Crosshill kennel's one day soon and atleast I won't have to worry about a person offering to stand behind their kennel name. Strange that this breeder would even mention and brag about some of their linage goes right back to Peter Cadman's GSD's but yet they slander his name.

Dave, as I am only assuming that you know the kennel where I purchased my GSD from, don't ever buy a dog from them because they all are in an enclosed area and who knows what is breeding what? (If your name is really Dave that is).

Here's to meeting finially an honest breeder and a nice man.

I would like to add a correction to my originial comment and would like to ask "

Dave" (not Bob) to please show us all some proof please and to post all that he has said has happened suppositily between him and Peter Cadman if there is any truth to it and in all of my years here on this earth I can not believe that a site like this would even let someone berate another human being without first getting all of the facts from "Daves" vet first and the bill of sale as proof and last but most imortantly get both parties side. There is so much evil in this world but also so much good as well...why let the evil pervail?

Peter Cadman Saved Me From Making a Third Mistake.

AUTHOR: Shawnya - ()

POSTED: Thursday, July 25, 2013

First of all, I am an elderly widow who just wanted a GSD as a companion and a dog who would warn me if someone was around as I live out in the country. Being a very trusting Lady I not only had gotten taken not once but twice by so called "Breeders".

The 1st time was from a lovely couple who promised to give me exactly what I wanted and that I could meet both parents of my new puppy, but strangely enough they told me that he was such a great "Champion" that he just happened to be studded out the day that I arrived and they did not want for the Dam to feel threatened as she was with the rest of the littler. This lovely young couple (or so I had thought) sold me a female puppy who when at the age of 9 month's old pinned my own daughtor up against the wall and was showing all of her teeth at her, I was horrified to say the least and if it wasn't for my son-in-law walking in at that very moment my daughtor would of been badly hurt. It broke my heart but I asked them if they could please get that dog out of my house as I was terrified of it as well. Of course the breeder's blamed it all on me because I did not read between the fine lines that said "guard dog only". I had been taken.

The second one was a very expensive import that I still have but literally have put thousands of dollars into it for vet procedures and once again the so called guarantee was not honoured.

Finally I had purchased a beautifull male from Crosshills after this time doing some serious background research into other happy and content buyers and spoke to them myself after speaking to both Peter and his wife. One of the buyer's had accidently closed the door on their puppies front foot, broke two toes and Peter Cadmen true to his word gave them another puppy and even gave them the option of keeping the other and it had nothing to do with him.

Peter did sound almost too good to be true but he is an honest person who is only trying to make the breed better and I would reccomend him to anyone! I now have the dog of my dreams who is everything a GSD should be!

As for this young gentleman Bob who almost made me believe what he had wrote, if you are that unhappy with your GSD then why don't you stop all of this young man because after what you have written about the kennel then stop reporting and put what your vet suspects to be a genetic condition then approach Mr. Cadman with the proof? I do not believe in anything until the proof is in the pudding. Something my Mother used to say.

i read all the posts of course, but i can't beleive your story,

In fact it occured to me this morning when a took out Abby for a walk

Peter in his rebuttals says you never bought a dog from him, also that you won't contact him so what s your goal? squeeze money? new dog what??

What i would like to see is a Receipt

show us a receipt thats the contract you signed with the shots and micro chip he gave you.

Ya see Crosshill Kennels has adult dogs on his property, because sometimes people's lives change and they bring the dog back, cause they want Peter to place the animal in a good home Peter has actually called us and explained about a dog and asked if we would give the dog a home. These people returm dogs not for money, but placement cause they care.

So conclusion is post your receipt or contraxt with Crosshill

Hope youe dog is well where ever you may have gotten the german sheppherd

couldn't be happier

AUTHOR: Jack - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 25, 2013

I was looking for Crosshill Kennels phone number online and came across the consumer report and read it. Whoever wrote that trash in his complaint is just eveil and uninformed. Another consumer who thinks he can stamp his feet and make up stories about a place we adore and consider a special place for animals. Just to satisfy his own selfish self centered life. there are words for such people, but i will try to be positive..... "TWIT"

Aside from having 3 dogs from this breeder over the 20+ years we have been dealing with them and being very happy with dogs health and particularly they're temperment. The good looks and loyalty of the dogs are amazing (Peter tells me this is the breed not him.) iI meet people in the street WOW what a nice dog, my neighbour behind me its amazing how confident your dog is he doesn't bark senselessly for no reason. (its a she I never correct people, but i always get females and never correct people)

Peter has been an excellent resource for the few times my dog has been sick diarrhea or lathargic, ussually cause they got into something they should not have (fertilizer once), always happy to take my call for advice on the GSD issues. Particularly our first i was new to owning a dog and the first 1 month then 6 month then 2 years all presented challenges in behaviour etc.. Peter would take my calls (he may have been rolling his eyes over the phone) but he took my calls and gave me guidance that worked every time rice for diarrhea, chewing issues, eating its own poop, he taught me how to get my dog to poop in the same spot everytime so i dont have to clean up the whole yard just one spot genius really.

Anyway we are thrilled with the dogs we love them all and the breeder, facility, location it fosters that temperment that Peter strives for, you can train your dog otherwise for protection, but thats not necessary for most of us the German shepherds dogs presence gives you all the security you need.

i will attempt to take a picture of my Current Love Abby & post it om amoyher day, she is gorgeous listens well, doesn't bark, Peter taught me how to do that as well, (he can teach you how to get to bark at everything if thats what you want in a dog), for me i like obedient, walking companion & athletic for runs or bike rides, freindly, especially child freindly, i live in a canadian suburb and don't want my neighbours to be afraid of my dogs

I have had 10 maybe even 20 freinds get dogs from Crosshill as well all happy we talk about our loves more than anything else i bet

Anyway lots of years good times i could write a book with all the stories and moments with my dogs and family life with them and i want take this opportunity to thank crosshill kennels for being there for us and encourage them to keep up the good work. You can't please everyone who knows they might have personal issues that don't make it easy to deal with them???

Dave, What is your problem?

AUTHOR: Catherine, A - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 12, 2013

You need to let go of this and give your dog some much needed attention!

I think you are a very unhappy person!  There Is not one other person here who has one of Peter"s GSD's that is as unhappy with their dog as you are.  Someones perception of Peter's website is not a valid complaint.  Have you been to Peter's house?

You need to let go and start to move on with your dog's life.  Perhaps your dog would do better on a raw diet. Violet, our GSD,  from Peter, has been praised by our Vet as a GSD in perfect health.   She is 2 years old and she has been on a raw diet since 5 month old.  Having said that, if I had a pup from Peter in less than perfect health I would have done everything in my power to help her obtain a happy, optimum healthy life. I have had other animals from breeders that have had health problems, but I have never blamed the breeder.  I have sought the best medical help I could because they are a family member.  What do you want?  Seriously you need to be real with yourself and ask this question.

We have been all over North America with Violet and we cannot go anywhere without someone asking "where did you get this dog?" or saying "that is the best looking GSD we have ever seen!"  also I have met people who have had tears in their eyes when looking at our Violet saying " that reminds me of the GSD I had when I was a child!"  I love her no matter what!!!!

As for Peter, if I was to ever get another German shepherd, I would never hesitate to buy one from him.

Dave, you need to think about why you are doing this?

To: Sniper Dave hiding behind the trees

AUTHOR: Rob - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, February 11, 2013

Greetings Dave. You don't impress me as having any credibility at all. I've read your constant attacks against a man with a quarter century of reputation breeding some of the finest GSDs available. -He's up front, repeatedly. -You, by obvious contrast, continue to Snipe and Hide repeatedly. Show your face  and show some integrity. You display absolutely none, to date, over months and months and months...getting to be years.

I have one of Peter's breeding. He was bought by friends as a house pet and companion. They both are professionals, each in their own careers. After two years they, in the dog's best interest, wanted him to get more attention and more room than their city home. They are both away far too long each day -That was the correct choice to make. I endorsed their original choice in buying from Peter, even though I had never dealt with him or his breed lines, myself. They were, and are, impressive beyond 95% of what's out there today.

Duke is among the best German Shepherds I have ever had the joy to care for. He gets along with people, cats, small dogs and is an awesome home protector. Do I know GSDs? I most certainly do. I bred and showed my own breeding for over 10 years in Canada and the U.S.A. I know GSD's very intimately. My lines came, originally, from Leo Bellino, Carissima Kennels. Leo knew more than most in North America. He taught me most of what I know. I'll put my experience up against yours, 'Dave' any day of the week( if that is indeed your real name). I doubt you have any valid knowledge, experience or understanding of German Shepherds...or of decent people, either. Go ahead...make my day and just 'try' to prove me wrong. I don't think you will, or can, because on top of everything else - I think you're just a coward and a liar. People like you are the bane of sincere GSD Breeders everywhere (actually the bane of sincere and good people everywhere). I know GSD's and I would head to Peter, in a heartbeat, to obtain the highest quality breeding specimen of the German Shepherd Dog in North America. I started with Carissima's Catherine, from Leo Bellino, - Canadian Champion GSD who beat out the best males for Best of Breed. I am certain Leo would endorse Peter's lines in a heartbeat.  (Leo has passed, sadly for us all in the GSD world) I am also certain that Leo would see you as a complete a*****e and trouble maker. Kudos to you Peter Cadman. Keep on what you do so well. Ignore this idiot schmuck -'supposedly' from Chicago. He gives good people from Chicago a bad reflection. You, Peter, show class. Just ignore the little putz, if you can do that. (  'Putz' = 'tiny schmuck'...about this big [--->]  )

Dave back to his old tricks again i see. It's clear by Dave's posts his end game is to dicredit this breeder. I do wonder what his real modivarion is. The more I read his posts the less and less I believe he bought a dog from this breeder.

Dave actions are more in line with a smear campaign then customer wronged.

Petar Cadman's own words

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, November 09, 2012

Not really much more that I can say that I already haven't but here are a couple posts by Crosshill Kennells owner Peter himself in the pedigreedatabase.com forum about breeding practices concerning uncooperative bitches. You have to decide if these are comments from a puppy mill owner or not. Here is one getting one of his females to breed:

took "3 " of us.
a stool,

and a couple of bags of horse feed under her belly for support,
underneath her.
i gentlely inserted his massive tool while she protested in vane ,
held them together for five minutes and had a good tie 35 minutes.
it was day 15 - 16.
we would not have succeeded without human intervention.
she cooperated during the tie.
she is a dominant b***h and does not like to submit to any boy , as in
food , bones , or balls or sticks . she is an excellent family pet but a
masciline b***h, an 80 plus lb female .
i feel the chance of pups is about 99% with a tie as descibed.
thanks for the advice , u-all.
stoogies all around, eh !
beauty EH!
sorry girls!
tired PETER,

Here is another about fattening up his puppies with basically fat to make his dogs look good to sell. No mention that to much fat, in this case enough to make them "chubby", might cause problems like Pancreatitis and other problems a puppy's digestive system can't handle. But they will look good to buyers.

looks super.......... but every friday i go to my country butcher and
dig out beef bones and beef trimmed fat from his scrap bins for my
pups to fatten up.
stools are grey for a day but the they become chubby in a hurry .

Instead of changing and practicing good breeding practices rather than a glitzy web site with pretty pictures he will do all he can to remove these posts and others on German Shepherd forums and misrepresent what he does. I've said it before and I'll say it again this guy runs a PUPPY MILL. Do your homework. He's a farmer of German Shepherds, his dogs mean no more to him than chickens to a chicken farmer. They must be abundant, fat and able to make a significant profit.

peter cadman

AUTHOR: patrick - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, November 04, 2012

I have a diificult time believing this story, as I own 3 of crosshill kennels german sheppard dogs. Peter Cadman has honored his warranty with my family as our pup "Adicus" had developed severe plaque in his teeth (despite daily brushing) and Peter acknowledged this to be a genetic disorder and gladly gave us a new puppy at no charge. We also got to keep Adicus, and our 3 pups now enjoy each others company very much. Temperment as you stated is also guaranteed. If your dog does not behave to your liking at 3 years old, maybe it has something to do with the way he was raised?. Is he kept in a kennel all day long? is he neglected? is he abused? an outdoor only dog? there are many factors to consider. So again, I have a difficult time believing this story based on the information provided. I dont only speak from my personal experience with mr. Cadman. A family friend of ours also purchased one of Peters dogs, who unfortunately developed skin allergies. Peter also gave them another puppy free of charge. So, before you jump to conclusions and state that you were "ripped off", give more information, state all the facts, and make sure you check with other people who have purchased his dogs. It also wouldn't hurt to inform yourself as to what exactly is covered in a warranty before you make a purchase. I will say that I am sorry for your dogs condition and hope that he/she leads a long and healthy life and gets all the care necessary to do so. The purpose of this response is just to clarify that not everyone feels the same as you do when it comes to the quality of Peter Cadmans dogs.

I'm a negative on the German Shepherd forum and you never contacted me. If he's so good where are the positive links other than his website. He's been in business for many many years, bred thousands of dogs and I challenge you to find one dog or shepherd club in Ontario that would recommend him. I wish you luck with the purchase of one of is dogs but I have spent thousands $$$ in vet bills to keep my dog going and I hope that doesn't happen to you. I'll say it again, this guy runs a puppy mill.

After doing my homework i plan on buying a GSD from Crosshill Kennels

AUTHOR: S.Moser - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, August 05, 2012

Dave Chicago, in my opinion has filed a false complaint.  If you have read this far good job!!! you should always do your homework.

Dave Chicago, has proved this by doing the following.

Refusing to return the dog.

Refusing to produce the medical records to the breeder or the breeders vet.

Refusing to produce the Micro Chip ID to the breeder to confirm the identity of the dog.

The only reason a person would do this is because they do not have it, its that simple.

Dave Chicago, could have proven his case at anytime but has failed to do so.  He never will as it is a false complaint.

I visited Crosshill Kennels today and i can tell you 100% it is no puppy mill.  I was very happy with the state of his property and the conditions the dogs lived in.  I spent approximately 3hrs there with my wife. I am looking for a second GSD for my son to grow up with.

But before buying from Crosshill i did my homework.  There are only two negative things on the net about crosshill.  This obviously false statement, and the thread on the message board.  I contacted each person on the thread that had negative comments but none have gotten back to me.

So after doing my homework i plan on buying a GSD from Crosshill.

What to believe about Crosshill Kennels? Do your own research. Here is a discussion of characteristics of good Shepherd breeders on a Shepherd forum. Forget the pretty pictures for a moment on Petar Cadman site and look at these recommendations and see if he meets these standards:

Also look at these posts from people familiar with Crosshill and search for other post about this guy:

Peter is a reputable breeder!!

AUTHOR: Cheryl G - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 25, 2012

I am quite shocked to hear these allegations against Peter and Crosshill, my husband and I have been dealing with Peter for many years now, and have never seen anything that would warrant this kind of attack.

My husband has been involved with GSD for the good part of 30 years as a breeder, trainer, touring show dogs, training tracking dogs, and just raising family pets, he knows the difference between a good caring breeder and a puppy mill, and this is NO puppy mill!!!

It is obvious by your negative comments and lack of knowledge you appear to be on the receiving end of a pup that was passed along far too many times from somewhere; with no training or stability in its life. What is more disturbing and quite obvious is that you have never met Peter, you have never spent time at his kennel and you have never seen the hands on care that each and every dog there receives each day.

I own several GSD out of peters kennel, they are all very healthy, well tempered, and a joy to have in our home.  I cannot fathom for one second that Peter would not put his love of a dog before anything.

I have seen puppy mills, and the dogs they produce, shame on you for even suggesting any similarity between the two.

Perhaps Dave, I suggest you jump on a plane, visit the kennel,  take a camera and when you get back start writing a long apology to Peter and his good name!!

While you're in the air between O'Hare and Toronto you may want to look up the definition of Libel!!

Peter is a reputable breeder!!

Petar Cadman Does Not Use Good Breeding Practices

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 24, 2012

We can go around and around on this forever. Again I feel Crosshill kennels and Petar Cadman operate a puppy mill. I'm glad all you people have not had the experience with them that I and others have had but I also know someone who bought a German Shepherd at a local pet store and it was a wonderful dog. That doesn't mean the pet shop practiced good breeding practices, it means they got lucky. You can get a bad dog from the best of breeders but you increase your odds of getting a disaster when you go somewhere like Crosshill Kennels. Again do your research, it's an important choice, one that can bring heartbreak. Heartbreak at getting a proud, loyal, magnificent breed that lives in constant pain and agony. Start with this link and this site in general, I wish I would have.

You r at fault Dave!!

AUTHOR: Hunter - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, April 23, 2012

Again Dave.....you r at fault of how your dog behaves!!!! It seems quite clear u r not happy with you dog...am I wrong?? So now I am starting to wonder how u are treating your dog who apparently has such behavioural problems!!!! He seems to be quite the nuisance to u from what I gather? How well r u treating him???? You really need to stop blaming....again your dogs behavior is your issue...and your messages r getting quite repetitive and not many people r listening!!!

Now the bigger question......have you ever "personally" visited Crosshills yourself??????

Peter is a wonderful breeder...not everyone will be happy with their purchases but that is part life.

Puppy Mill Known As Crosshill Kennels, same old story

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 23, 2012

I'm glad all you buyers have had luck with your German Shepherds from the puppy mill know as Crosshill Kennels. My experience and those of many others has been the opposite and no use in stating again my objections, I live with my experience of having a dog from Petar Cadman every day and no offers to buy me off with another dog or being beaten up in online posts like " get a life " or Petar Cadman misrepresentation of the truth is going to change that. Just do your own homework before you buy one of his dogs. Here is a good site to start your research:

Dave find something better to d!!

AUTHOR: Hunter - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, April 22, 2012

Dave seriously find something better to do with your time!!! Many of us have already proven that your statement is incorrect!! Alot of people have already stated how happy they were with their experience at Crosshills and Peter - myself included!!!!

I ask u when u buy a puppy r they EVER trained!! They r meant to be trained by their new owners!! They r your new family member and how you train them is up to u!!! Soooo if your dog doesn't behave well who's fault is that!!!! It certainly isn't Peter's!!!! His dogs are very well behaved and trained!!! I speak from experience when I went to pick up my German Sheppard!

I do NOT believe that he wouldn't honor his warranty!!!! I personally need to ask u ....I have read Peter's responses to u.....why have u not bothered bringing your dog back to him...he has offered to take the dog?!!! Seriously, u need to find something better to complain about as no one is buying it!!

Crosshill Kennels

AUTHOR: E.S Miller - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, April 22, 2012

I am writing this in support of Crosshill Kennels.  I feel that it is most unfair that one person's unfortunate experience with a GSD (and we have all had them) can be used to damage the reputation of a dedicated breeder such as Peter Cadman.

I have owned GSD's for over fifty years and consider myself as a bit of an (amateur) expert on the breed.  I am also one of those people who "has to have" more than one GSD at a time.  As a result, my daughter Janet and I (after a lot of research) bought a female puppy from Crosshill Kennels in May 2010.

"Ava" is a wonderful, healthy, intelligent, loyal friend and is loved and admired by everyone she comes in contact with.  She is also a fine example of what a GSD should look like.  I know that it could be said that we all think that our dog is the best, but I truly can't say enough good things about our "Ava".

After after read the posted articles from the gentleman in Chicago, I had to express my support of Crosshill Kennels and Peter Cadman.  In our dealing with Peter we found him to be very knowledgeable, forthright and honest.  As a result, we will be contacting him in the very near future with regard to the purchase of another dog.

Crosshillkennels kennels- a wonderful experience!

AUTHOR: Maria tres - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, April 20, 2012

I purchased 2 beautiful pups from Peter as pets for our family in October 2011. Tragically in November 2011 the pups were stolen from our home. We were devestated by the loss after one short month the pups had already become family to us!
When I told Peter what had happened he was so supportive. The one female puppy we had chosen was a sable shepherd one of 2 identical pups in the litter, she was gorgeous so peter's wife was going to keep one as a pet and the other he sold to us. When he heard what had happened to our sable he offered to replace our pups with 2 similar shepherds from another litter, we were ecstatic- I didn't have the money to replace them up front but he said that was no problem whatsoever, that arrangements could be made later on. He dropped off the 2 puppies to us, that week! (a 3 hour drive).
When he arrived we were shocked to see our puppies twins! His wife felt so bad that she gave up her sable our puppies sister so that we could have her to keep, we were so touched!
Our puppies are now 7 months old- we are constantly complemented on their beauty, intelligence and temperment!
I researched for 2 years before buying a shepherd and I knew I made the right decision when I met Peter.
I refer people to crosshill and will continue to do so. My next shepherds will be from crosshill as they're quality shepherds and customer service are unmatched.
If you do your research like I did, you will find the same and enjoy a wonderful family pet for years to come!

Peter Cadman - Crosshills Kennels

AUTHOR: Hunter - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, April 20, 2012

We bought a male German Sheppard dog 2 years ago from Crosshills and I have to disagree about behavioral issues for sure. This is our second German Sheppard and getting this one from Crosshills was a great improvement! Our dog has an awesome temperament and it is also noticed by anyone who pops by our house! He is very well behaved, in fact, when we go away we leave him with people who just say he is great to be around and very well behaved and trained. He gets along with all other dogs.

We have not experienced any health problem what so ever! I think the health issue your dog has is just luck of the draw sadly. Friends of ours bought a Sheppard from another breeder and he had the same issue. I don't think it's a "breeder" issue!

I would honestly refer anyone to Crosshills!!! His dogs are great , they are beautiful , and Peter gave us awesome treatment!

I will only ever get another German Sheppard throughout Crosshillls!

Buying a Crosshill Kennels German Shepherd dog from Petar Cadman is a bad gamble

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 19, 2012

I'm glad your dog from Crosshill Kennels and Petar Cadman is OK.

The fact is that he:
 1. uses poor breeding habits
 2. does not do OFA Hip Xray certifcation on his breeding pairs
 3. does not do any kind of obedience or temperament testing
 4. breeding only for looks, it sells, none of his breeding dogs are involved or titled in anything
 5. socializes his puppies poorly
 6. in my experience and the experience of others does not back his guarantee
 7. is a puppy mill , clean but still a puppy mill
 8. is way to expensive for what he offers
 9. It's known that his dogs have medical and behavioral problems.
10.In spite of years of complaints has done nothing to correct the above problems
11.Also it has been told to me but not my experience that the puppies in his litters are sometime    switched, so make sure you see the puppies with their mother and at a young age

Also ask around the area about this guy Petar Cadman and read the dog shepherd forums, if you do all this and buy a dog from hm and get lucky I'm happy for you, that has not been my experience. Dave

Very Satisfied Customer in Caledon

AUTHOR: Catherine, Andrew - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 04, 2012

We purchased our Violet, a female, black and tan, GSD, from Peter Cadman in April of 2011.  She is CKC registered and we have the documentation.

We visited Crosshill Kennels before we decided to purchase from Peter.  He is professional, knowledgeable, and hospitable.  He invited us into his operation and home without any hesitation.  His GSD's are friendly, well behaved dogs, and it is obvious at first glance that they love Peter and are extremely loyal.  When we picked up Violet a few weeks later, we left confident that we had made the right choice.  Peter has always made himself completely available to us.

Violet is 1 year old now and 82 lbs.  Our vet has described Violet as perfect.  She is very content and happy on her three and a half acres of property.  She is healthy, smart, curious, playful and obedient.  A wonderful addition to our family.

My suggestion to Dave-USA, contact Peter Cadman.  He loves what he does, he loves his dogs and he is professional.

Catherine and Andrew

I purchased Rusty (a male GSD) from Peter and had lost the CKC registered certificate through the mail, contacted Peter and he followed up and did send me all the info requested. Rusty is almost three now and is healthy, loyal, active and happy. very protective to my family and property, the most beautiful dog in the neighborhood, all in all, a great addition to my family. it seemed to me Peter is trying to get to the bottom of this matter with Dave but only getting complaints, if it is a legit complaint, I suggest Dave to contact him, and through my experience, I believe Peter will follow through. no owner of business would like this type of negative press

Again instead of doing what's right and breed good dogs and honor their warranty they don't want the information out about their breeding practices known. Do your own research before buying one of his dogs, start by Goggling Crosshills Kennels complaints and then look at his breeding practices and compare them to better kennels. Lets stop the abuse of puppy mills, remember you're going to live with this animal for a long time.Dave

The place is just a fancy puppy mill. Wish it wasen't true but it is.Dave

Dave of Chicago still has failed to contact Crosshill German shepherds

AUTHOR: peter cadman - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, May 14, 2010

Dave of Chicago still has failed to contact Crosshill German shepherds or Peter Cadman. It is difficult to solve a problem if the party will not communicate with Peter Cadman. As a result I have asked I have asked friends in Chicago to arbitrate this matter. These new friends in Chicago purchased a German shepherd pup from us in winter 2010 and appropriately named him "CANUCK". As stated early, May 2010, I will gladly replace the pup if Dave of Chicago will give us the microchip # of the pup and a medical report from a vet office referring to his problems. We have recently extended our health warrantee to four years unconditionally. I do not know Dave of Chicago, I have never met Dave of Chicago and Crosshill German shepherd never sold Dave of Chicago a German Shepherd Dog .

"Canuck's" Parents: nancy and ward of Chicago wrote: (photo of "Canuck" included)

Hi Peter, Thought you might like to see what your "CANUCK" looks like at 6 months. He is beautiful and big. We are very happy with him, even when he thinks it is cute to steal our shoes. Training is coming along pretty good. Today he took off through the woods behind our house because he heard a neighbor's dog bark. I just stood there and called him a couple times and much to my surprise he came running home to me. You had told us you would send us a 4 generation back pedigree on him. We would love to have it if you can do it for us. He weighed in today at 73.4 and is 26-1/2 inches tall. I am taking him in a six week training class mainly for the exposure to obey commands with many other dogs around. He does socialize with other dogs but I think the fact that he will be in a small area with several dogs will help him and reconfirm obeying my commands. Hope all is well with you and your family. Do you have any new litters? Nancy and Ward

It is worth replacing the dog if Dave will go away.

AUTHOR: peter cadman - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 04, 2010

It is worth replacing the dog if Dave will go away. Sending threatening emails does no one any good. All contract sales are with the original purchaser so a replacement should be with the lady purchaser in Toronto. I question the authenticity of Daves claims as I have not heard from any medical person in regards to this matter. Daves veterinarian should contact my veterinarian at Oak Park vet clinic in Oakville Ontario. My veterinarian will then translate the data for me. What is the micro-chip # of the dog so I can do a cross reference? How do I know who this pup is or who his parents are! All that said, I will replace Daves dog with a pup from the next available litter. The photo looks like a four month old pup! Is this the May 2009 litter? Is the pup suffering? I want him back so I can nurture him. My photos submitted are of the parents of the May 2009 litter. Dave of Chicago please contacts me, Peter Cadman at Crosshill German Shepherds Dogs or phone.

I have never sold DAVE of Chicago, Illinois U.S.A. a dog. I do not know Dave Chicago, Illinois U.S.A.

AUTHOR: peter cadman - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 30, 2009

In July 2009 I sold an 8 week old pup to Christine T. of Toronto for    $ 1600.00.

Christine T. Phone # (((ROR redacted)))

Christine and her extended family own a Greek- lebonize restaurant in north Toronto.

She visited our kennel with several family members and after a lengthy visit they chose a male pup in the litter   of three pups. Christine called me a while later informing  me of a  family crisis  and she and her husband were  moving into her mothers home and she   wanted to return the pup.

I welcomed the idea and offered to give Christine a puppy voucher to be redeemed when she wanted.

Christine declined my offer and she elected to sell her male puppy. Christine sold her male pup for less than half price in Michigan USA. The poor animal was then delivered to Chicago and sold again. I was later contacted by a third party wanting retribution for a male pup having only one or possibly both testicles  not dropped. I assume this is the same guy named Dave, Chicago, Illinois U.S.A.

I have never met DAVE.

I have never sold DAVE of Chicago, Illinois U.S.A.  a dog.

I do not know Dave Chicago, Illinois U.S.A.
