Peter Masullo, Design Hardwood Flooring Company Unfinished work

I needed my hardwoods floors refinished and got a recommendation to call Peter Masullo, Design Hardwood Flooring. I contacted him and he came over and gave me a quote.

I then found a report on this website of a complaint that I confronted Peter with. He stated that he did nothing wrong with the customer and "you can't please everyone". He told me he has been in the business for over 30 years and it is a family run business.

I then asked him to give me some referrals that I could talk to before I contract with him. I called them and got good reviews but obviously he would not give me anyone who had a problem. His price was right so against my better judgment I gave him the job.

First of all the job took way longer than he originally said it would with all different sort of excuses on why. I realize things happen so I took it in stride as long as I got a professional job done. As the job took so long I had to go out of town while he completed the job. 

Upon my return I could not believe what had transpired. All the baseboards, which I just had painted, were full of stain and need to be repainted and the worst part EVERY room had ripples across the entire floor every 2 inches. Although the floors were smooth they now look like there had been a flood and the wood had buckled.

I immediately called Peter and said I am not happy with the job and he knew exactly what the problem was. He came back over to look at the job and said he would fix it but had to finish another job and call him in 2 weeks. Called him and left a message to call me. Over the next month I have left him countless messages for him to do the right thing and have never heard back from him. My floors are worse off than when I started.    

Peter comes off as a nice guy and I never thought he would just totally ignore all of my messages but it is very obvious he just took my money and ran.

What ever you do stay clear of Design Hardwood Flooring Company and Peter Masullo
