I bought a six month old puppy from the Pets Plus in Lansdale, PA. He seemed healthy at the time, but his testicles had not descended. I was given a coupon to go to a local Vet in the Quakertown area. I asked the vet if my small Yorkie needed any special tests or considerations, he said no. I brought the dog back to be neutered, no one spoke to me about preblood work screenings. The dog had a heart attack on the table. I was called and came to see the dog. The dog was now blind and neurologically damaged. He could not stand. The vet told me that he was tired and couldn't stay up all night with the dog. My first questions was "well who was going to stay with the dog through the night"? You told me this was a hospital. My Max was laying on a cold crate over a sink.

I had to leave the hospital with a screaming dog in a box. It took us forty minutes to get to the other animal hospital. For five days our Max was blind, stressed out, could not stand or hold up his head. I spend 4,600 to try and save my baby. But we could not, we had to put Max down.

We went back to store and asked them about the dogs past.....we went back to the vet and asked them to help us with the second vet bill. We also asked the vet to change his procedure and educate and offer pre surgury blood screening before the neuter or spay. We were told that we would receive no assistance or help.
