First, they will claim they did not get your messages or emails cancelling your policy. This add a few days to the funds they keep. Write a letter from the get go, it will save you time and frustration.

Second, you will be charged 10% of the remaining balance of the policy. In short, if you cancel 10 days into the month do not expect to get a credit that would equal the 20 days you paid in advance. In my case they offered $17 as a refund. I asked when and how I was nitified of this fee. I was told it was in the "contract," I have yet to find it. Another tactic to keep your money.

In a nutshell, this company is not interested in keeping customers long term. They have questionable business practices and do not care about keeping you happy, they just want to keep your money. Don't get sucked in by the slick ads that don't tell you the whole story.
