My almost 90 year old mother was attacked via by phone that day during the last week of May 2007. He was threatening her to sign up some medical discount or else "she would be dropped from medical insurance". This man asked to verify information he already knew about her including her bank. My mother said he had a very heavy foreign accent (don't know if it was actual or impersonating). He would ask questions that required "yes" answers (i.e. can you hear me? do you understand? Are you there? Do you live at...? Is this your name? Is this the correct number?

Later when I was reviewing my mother's bank statements, I saw a check posted transaction of $389.00 for June 1, 2007. She was not aware of this amount. Her monthly bills were not handled this way. After going to the bank, I obtained a fax of this transaction which revealed: payable to Blec - Med Provisions 1-866-460-9617 for $389.00. The memo area had: For inquiries 866-590-3900. The back of document showed "pay to the Order International Bank with Routing number __________, For Deposit only __________ and other stamped numbers. I called the phone number 1-866-460-9617 listed on the fax document for Blec - Med Provisions. This woman stated their company was the collection agent for PharMaBay and that my mother should have received some kind of package for $389.00 on 8/25/07. Our conversation became rather loud after she said it was too late to do anything since my mother did not return the package (which my mother never received) within 30 days. She threatened to terminate our conversation if I continued to override her. So, I told her I was going to do whatever I could to reveal their criminal acts. Then, I terminated the conversation.

The next day we closed out my mother's account because I knew my mother was not their first elderly prey and they would probably process another electronic payment because of the method the guy used with his questions. I pray that all elderly persons has someone to assist them because these awful crimes are being done throughtout the U.S. We are ready to stop them so they can be punished and relatives can feel secure at home without being ripped off by phone. Their money needs to be returned.
