If this is a true scam, I want to report and share with other consumers and citizens of the United States.
- Today, 10/10/2007, when I walked into the bedroom, I saw my wife already opened her check book and tried to give this guy the banking information over the phone. So, I took over the phone and this guy told me that a new card will be issued to replace the Medicare program. It is a one time payment for $389.00.
- This guy, with heavy India Indian accent (sounded like), repeated to me of what he had talked to my wife and said there was a major medical company bankruptcy (or lawsuit) >$5 billions. It crashed the Medicare program. The government is thus asking the senior citizens to get into this new program. Because I did not have the chance to watch TV, I couldnt tell if that was true. Anyway, I doubted about him because of his accent.
During the phone conversations, my wife kept asking this guy 'I don't know what you are talking about.'; 'Can you repeat again?'; or 'I can't understand your English.' Whenever I asked this guy 'Are you calling from the Medicare Organization of the US government? this guy always changed to a question.
- Between times, my wife and I changed hands for the phone. During half of the conversation, my wife asked me to handle from there. Yet, the more I heard, the more suspicious I became.
- What a dummy I am! Regardless, I gave this guy our bank information (bank name, routing number, bank account & check number & $389.00).
- Although we are given (866) 380-1481, I called this number up later. A recorded message said "... please call during office hour ..." and did not allow me to leave any message to correct, stop, cancel, or withdraw my mistake.
- So, I checked on-line of Pharmabay. Then, I tried Pharmabay + .com, .org., or .net. But, I cannot tell which one is the one that made this call to us this afternoon.
- Personally, I will go to our bank tomorrow and make a stop payment on this. I will also inform them to be aware about the possible fraud by this company, Pharmabay, if they truly are deceitful company and people.
- Sincerely, if this ever becomes a case, I hope FBI or someone will really catch these people and put them in Federal jail facility.
Please help if you can! Thanks!
