PharMerica Inc. PharMerica Pharmacy For the Elderly who use this company and Job hunters Longmont, Colorado

 Sit down and get ready for an eye opener! PharMerica Inc. based in Louisville, KY is one of the second largest long term care pharmaceutical providers in the U.S. This is a company that provides medication to nursing homes, and other places where you send your loved ones for care. Spoiler Alert! they could care less about your loved ones, i'll explain how I know this in a minute. People looking for a job with PharMerica think twice. You receive no formal training, are given a work load designed for 3 different departments, all for around $13 an hour. I hope you like that number because it might go up every year by about 20 cents, and that is if they are having a good year. You will have to become part of a "click" to survive there because employees there will call HR if you don't. Things like employees stalking other employees, time clock fraud, leaders with the maturity level of a 13 year old, employees doing drugs on lunch break, 50 year olds with no future, so they cause problems for others, that are more skilled than they are, each are pretty common practices at the call center in Longmont. When these things are reported to HR the illustrious Director of HR d**k Hollar will reply in one of two ways. If it is the hot button of the month that he can score points with...he will bring the iron fist ie final written warning or termination or something less important to him like emplyees stalking other employees to the point where the have to QUIT, or obvious insubordination, d**k like to throw out the "verbal warning" to let everone know he's in charge and "we'll keep an eye on it" No investigation just word of mouth so if you have somone who doesn't like you because of any immature reason you could be headed for a pink slip. Just so the lame excuses for VP's dont think i'm hiding you remember me.. you fired me for Harassment remember?

Here are the facts of that case: A new employe was hired and for a week straight he would mumble into his headset ( the phone system allows for supervisors to monitor phone calls for quality control)causing customers to continually ask him to repeat himself. He was told once by myself to sit up in his chair and speak clearly.. he didn't he was verbally councelled by me to implement this.... he didn't, he was told by the Department Manager to correct the deficiency he did'nt. Arriving for my shift one day he had still received no payments (this was his ONLY task) and the Department Manager (who knows the business better than any of the appointed VP staff) told me he has still not done what is asked. Myself a Manager who trains people to be better not just dictates from my comfy office on the other side of the country, went to the employee and told him "you still have not done what has been asked of you I need you to stand up" I took his chair moved it out of the cubicle plugged my headset into his phone and fielded calls with him as they came in. The result people could hear him clearly, and he began receiving payments. His Team Leader who thought she should have been in my position and was told by the preceding Supervisor to "do whatever it takes to get him fired" (Him being Me) who was also charged with embezzlement prior to working at PharMerica (solid background checking guys)  pressured the individual to call good ol d**k at PharMerica HR and tell him he felt Harrassed. Really d**k? I took that department from an average mothly collection of $350,000 to almost consistantly $500,000 monthly no wonder OmniCare thinks PharMerica upper management is a joke. They have a profitable business. Now on to more disturbing aspects of this company, one scenario sticks out in my mind very well Prilosec OTC $26.85 30 day fill at the drug store, active ingredient Omeprozole. A customer that no one else could handle talking to because she was so irrate that her 87 year old mother in a nursing home in CA was being charged $134.00 for the exact same thing. How was I told to justify it? and I quote "well tell them we specially package it in blister packs and deliver it so its more convenient!!!!? Look morons I can buy that same drug in Colorado drive it to the customer in CA for half that. One word Greed.

Here is my favorite though a father is in a Long Term Care Facility and a WWII Veteran and 90 years old, and his son calls me and was very nice and calm but would only speak to the Supervisor. No problem. He proceeds to tell me that he has a huge pharmacy bill from PharMerica and it looks like his Insurance was never billed. It wasn't and you know why and I quote "we dont have a contract with that insurance because their reimbursment level is too low" Oh i'm sorry you don't make enough money off of his insurance to contract billing for him?? I was told to to explain everything except the fact that the insurance company has too low a reimbursment rate and that HE could seek direct reimbursement from his insurance company but he still owed the bill. Awesome. The son still very polite says " we will not be using you anymore I will bring my dads meds to him" The facility INFORMS him he cannot do that his 90 year old father signed a contract naming PharMerica his Medication provider.

Folks if you aren't disgusted by this get your head examined. All I can say is you better read that contract before you admit a loved one into a facility and name PharMerica your loved ones medication provider. For goodness sake there isn't a single VP in that company that comes from a pharmacy background, they all came from insurance companies, and not one of them knows, cares to know, or has the ability to do any of the jobs they expect their employees to do. I will love to see their "Legal Department Approved" rebuttle for this. Word of advice to everyone reading this if it says PharMerica on it make sure you have a lawyer read it first these guys are Cancer at its finest.
