IN 2004 while the market wa great...I took out a second on my home, and decided to buy my first piece id income property> i must stress i am a social worker with an annual income of 85,000.00.  After speaking to phh mortgage they told me i qualified for other properties.  Needless to say they encouraged me to buy other rental properties so i did.  By 2005 they miraciously had approved me for a total of 7 rental properties.  This took place after geting two seconds on my home and withdrawing from my retirement.  The properties were all located in the south, and when hurricane katrina hit, most were damaged or destroyed.  Needless to say i wa neve able to fully rebound, even after the properties were re-built, nor was the community economic infrastructure in those areas.  By 2006 i was forced to use personal savings and credit cards to pay the mortgages.  I kept attempting to get help from phh mortgage, and used their website to assist but to no avail.  in 2009< i was forced to stop paying the mortgages due to my non-existent savings at that time.  I applied for loan modification and even tried to request a short=sale.  It took them months to get back to me, and they kept asking for duplicate documents along the way. During the interim my credit was destroyed.  Months of not hearing anything i had to hear from the property management compnay that my properties were forclosed on.  I am yet to receive any documents etc......

This needs o be reported to the federal government as illegal business practices
