I attended PIMA's dental studies in Denver, Co and graduated in November. Payment was expected IN FULL before classes started and I paid what I was asked for IN FULL on my credit card. I received a receipt and that was that.

Three months after I graduated, I get a call from a Brian Shmidt saying that there had been an 'error' and that I owe an additional $35. Although this is not a huge amount, the fact that I had already satisfied the schools financial requirements to be a student, HAVE the ORIGINAL PAPERWORK stating what was to be paid by me and that I had "PAID IN FULL" and that I get a phone call... not a letter explaining what happened and how this works out, really has me suspicious.

It gets better... I never called this guy back because it seemed silly and I figured it was a mistake anyway. This evening I get an email from him stating that he wants to "make sure I'm aware of how not paying can effect my credit status". The email goes on to basically threaten me!

I contacted an attorney friend in Boston and she laughed about it but suggested that I get in touch with their legal department because I have all documentation stating that the fee has been paid in full. She also said it sounds 'funny' and that I should contact higher administrators at PIMA concerning this. However, as you can see, the website provides no way to get in touch with such people.

I would really appreciate feedback about this and would very much like to know if anyone else is being swindled!!
Thanks for reading~

PMI campuses have a directly stated procedure for student or external grievances.  This practice is made available to all students in the Academic Catalog they receive at the time of admissions into PMI programs.  A phone call to campuses regarding student or external concerns is also directed to the appropriate person(s).  The school is easy to contact.  It appears that many phone calls were made to discuss the situation with others; however, a direct phone call to the campus or professional progression through the grievance process could have possibly resulted in the past student having her questions answered.  This would be a professional, appropriate way to handle a situation, regardless of her perception of communication she received from others.
