I ordered the Learn Spanish CD for $9.99.  Without my authorization or consent, the company signed me up for Gold Courses 1, 2, 3 and 4.  They have been debiting my bank account for $64.00 each month, and it will not end until they have gotten $1,024.00 for all four of these courses.  I can't close my bank account or prevent the debits without causing more problems.  There is no physical address for returning the unwanted product, nor does the company provide an account number for making sure that the return is credited.  The phone number (866) 774-4754 leads to an unpleasant individual who rather than resolving the problem or accepting the cancellation simply hangs up on you.  There are laws out there to protect consumers who take free offers from being signed up for, and charged for, expensive products they never ordered.  I suppose that Pimsleur Approach gets around this law by charging for the initial purchase, so it's not a free offer.  Still it is totally outrageous to charge people for products they never ordered or authorized: legitimate online merchants don't do this.  If I order from Zappos or Amazon, I don't get sent expensive stuff I never asked for, and I can return the product or cancel the order without getting charged.  Here I've lost over a thousand dollars on products I never ordered, didn't want and can't return.

I  also  had  a  problem  with  their  return  address.  they  are  trying  their  best  to  hide  it.  on  one  of  their  letterheads,  however,  there  was  an  address  at:

2811  Southhampton Rd.
Philadelphia, PA 19154

Return  their  junk  to  that  address  via  certified  mail  and  talk  to  your  bank  to  change  the  account  number  to  stop  them  from  debiting  your  account.  also,  include  a  letter  with your  certified  mail  telling  them  to   stop  sending  you  additional  copies  and  keep  a  copy  of  your  letter.

Their  CDs  are  junk,  there  is  no   "sneaky  linguistic  trick"   and  there  is  no  "discovery"  made  by  Pimsleur.   At  the  most,  this  can be  called  "sneaky  marketing" -  that's  what  they  are  good  about.  unfortunately,  you  have  to  pay  for  the  postage  and  you  have  to  do  it  within  their  time  limit,  so  please  don't  do  them  the  favor  of  keeping  the  CDs.
