Pimsleur Marketplace Elite Commerce Buy Back Program is a Bust Ammon Idaho
*Consumer Comment: The BUY BACK Program WORKED for me many times
I mailed a Level 4 Spanish Language Program to Pimsleur Marketplace. Fed Ex reports it arrived at their location in Ammon, ID on May 23. I called that day to verify my address, so that I can participate in their Buy Back Program and receive a $100 check.
They claim to respond to calls in one day. I have not heard from them in 34 days.
I left another phone message on May 30. I sent an email on June 5. I left another phone message on June 9. I sent an email on June 11.
The Pimsleur Marketplace Buy Back Program is a Bust. No money, not even a hint of a return phone call or email. This is a ripoff.

The BUY BACK Program WORKED for me many times

THIS COMPANY HAS DELIEVERED AS PROMISED TO ME MULTIPLE TIMES.
I have purchased and returned five courses over the past few years through the buy back program and gotten my $100 refund. There was one time it took a lot longer but my return was after several months of having the program and I had not called with my physical address (as requested) for them to mail me the check. (I overlooked that instruction because I had always gotten the credit back on my credit card for other courses.)
I will say that I have only gotten a live person on the phone once or twice when I called and they are not a mega-business with everything automated so you will not get an auto menu where you can have the robot lady take your info.
Earlier this year I had had an issue where they didn't send my refund as they have before and I suspect now that they may have had some kind of break down with their answering system that they were unaware of and others in this complaint group may have been caught up in that. That was the only time I didn't receive a return phone call. WHEN I SPOKE TO THEM THEY PROCESSED MY BUY-BACK REFUND. I have always been able to take advantage of the buyback program and I think it is fantastic!
I ordered 3 more courses last month and got a phone call from them because the online order before mine got the last used copy of a course and they wanted to check to see how I wanted to proceed. - wait for the next used return or buy a new course?
I'm really sorry to see that folks are having problems here contacting them but in my multiple experiences with the program it is NOT A RIPOFF.
EVEN IF YOU DON"T DO THE BUY-BACK PROGRAM THE USED COURSES MAKE LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE AFFORDABLE.
