  Has to be the worst place I have ever lived in my life.  The management here is the worst I have ever seen, if it were my business I would fire the entire management and hire all new staff who know what they are doing.  

 

 The cockroaches here are unbearable.  Roach problem here with over 20 phone call complaints over 7 in person complaints 2 written letters and over 10 request for pest control.  Never had roaches crawling on me in my bed or coming out of toilets while using restroom till I lived here it is just disgusting.  The neighborhood is in a very bad area of Las Vegas; there is a lot of crime to say the least.  I have personally woken up to gunshots in the morning to find "SWAT" outside my door yelling to go back inside my apartment.  I feel like a prisoner here in my own home (unable to feel comfortable leaving place in fear of burglary, feel uncomfortable bringing furniture or items inside outside of apartment) this is a really bad area to live in.  

 

  My lease agreement clearly says "If rent is not paid by the end of the 4th day of the month, Owner/Agent may issue on the 5th day of the month a 144 hour notice of nonpayment of rent." but when I went to pay rent early morning on the 4th my rent was refused.  I talked to Manager Emily Orantes at approximately 10:30 am on the 4th she stated she would not accept my rent in the full amount, that I had and that it was late.  She also continued with belittling comments and telling me "well what does your lease say" and maybe you should read your lease, "I'm not accepting your rent" it's late you should... and so on.  I did read my lease and she had no right to treat me the way she did.  My lease says I have until the end of day on the 4th to pay, clear as day in black and white.  They still charged me a late fee on the 4th!  I even printed the ledger to prove it!  

 

  I have gone for days (up to 3 days) without running water.  Yes, no running water, no showers, no cleaning dishes, no drinking water, no flushing toilets for up to 3 days.  It has happened at least 5 times that I can count and I do not receive written notice when the water is being shut off or when it will be turned on I am just left in the dark wondering and praying that I won't be without water again and again and again.  I can go on and on about this situation and how horrible it was not having running water but I will just say that it was horrible and embarrassing to be able to shower, clean, flush, brush teeth, wash hands etc for over 3 days.  

 

  This "new" manager Emily Orantes should read the lease and see that charging late fee's on the 4th is illegal when the lease says the 5th.  I don't know how many others went through the same situation as my household but we got a 5 day notice to pay or eviction and were forced to pay the late fee's even though I walked in on the 4th with rent in full to pay and talked to 3 staff members to include the property manager Emily Orantes and they all refused to take my rent on the 4th.  

 

  On December 12th, 2014 at about 11 am I get a knock at my door it is a staff member of Pinewood apartments telling me I have 1 week to move out that I will not be getting me deposit back and that if I do not comply they will "evict you and it will be on your record" also stating that there was no known reason for this.  I was in shock.  I paid rent in full with late fee's that I should have never been charged and know they are threatening to evict me.  When I asked for a reason why, he David Gardiner would not give a reason why. I stated I wanted to talk to the manager and he said "You can't talk to anyone" management has asked me to take your number down and we can call you but specifically told me not to go to the office and that I could not talk to anyone in person. I asked again what's the reason David answered "I can't give you that" I said this a pretty serious matter and I need to talk to someone right away "what about my rent" answered "they will refund you your rent" I then asked "and my deposit" David answered your not going to get that back.  

 

  Now I have never lived in a place where they verbally threaten you like this, where the management doesn't even know what there own lease agreement says and charges "late fee's" on the 4th when it says in their lease agreement that it will be late and charged on the 5th.  Where customer service is something that is pretty much non-existent.  I went to the office on the 12th at 1:15 PM and it was locked (said open for business on the door) but was closed locked shut.  Where they tell you not to come in to the office to talk to anyone literally say do not come in to our office we do not want anyone coming in person to the office if you have a complaint leave a number we will call you back.  This is the worst customer service I have ever had in my life.
