Recently I tried to obain a loan to meet some financial needs that occured. I went to several web sites and I received a call from a Tracy Cain. She said I had been approved for a loan of $10.000 and all needed to do was send $750. for the insurance. I told her $5000 would be fine for what I needed and she said I had been approved for $10.000.
I hesitated and she assured me everything was okay. I voiced my concerns regarding the money at which time she said it was because of my credit score. I again hesitate and she again assured me and told me to think about it or I could go else where. Given my situation I called her back a few days later desperate, and she explained her company had been in business for 7 years and had a good record. She said she would e-mail me all the documents and if I was interested to sign and date pages 2 and 5 and fax them back to her. Once I did that to go to Western Union and get 2 green dot cards. One for $500 and the other for $250.
Once the money had been sent and verified the funds would be deposited on my card. Still not comfortable I did not act on it. About a week later she calls and asks if I was still interested because the file had been open for two weeks and so action was needed. I asked her to hold the file until I got paid at the end of the month and she said she would. I tried calling her on the 31 left a message. I called a total of 4 times leaving messages like," I would like to talk to you, I would like some more information and I would like to conclude our business. " No response. I tried again about 6 pm and when I went to put her extension number in 6023 for some reason I put in 6024 and a female answered named Karen. I identified myself and told her I was trying to reach Tracy and she hung up. Since then no response. Each call is kicked to voice mail.

Based on how you wrote this it looks like you didn't send the money, which if that is the case you got very lucky. It is illegal for any company to ask for money up front to guarantee a loan. They can call it insurance or what ever..it is still illegal.
Had you actually sent the money, the only thing that would have happened would be the money would have been taken from the card, and they would have called you up saying the original lender fell through and because of your credit score you need to send them more money. You would never have seen this "loan" come through. The cycle would continue until you "got wise" and realized it was a scam. There are people who have lost a couple thousand dollars in this scheme. Once you ask for your money back they would give you some excuse and tell you that you would have it in 2-3 weeks. They do that because in 2-3 weeks they would have moved on to another set of victims with a totally different company name. And when you try to call them back you get what you are getting now..just voice mail. Within a few weeks you will find the number actually disconnected.
