Pitney Bowest Ink Rip-Off and other egregious acts New York Nationwide

I kept noticing the ink was running out way too soon so I called Pitney Bowes to ask a question.  After repeatedly getting the Philippine on the line where no one could answer my question, I finally learned to insist on asking to be transferred to the US which they woudl do reluctantly.  the tech person I spoke with said the ink should last between 500 and 700 letters.  I mnetioned that mine ran out after about 45.  They sent me a new cartiridge.  The same thing happened.  I called again and they suggested we try a newer machine which they sent me with a new cartidge.  The same thing happened again.  I finally concluded the lease is a scam  - a ruse to get you to frequently buy expensive ink all the time.  I finally cancelled my contract and returned the machine.  Two weeks later they charged my credit card for $900 for postage.  Go figure!  Bottom line - impossible customer service, ink cartirdge rip off - unethical behavior.  STAY AWAY!!!
