PJ'S Pets PJ'S Pet Centre PJ's Petstore Horrible treatment of animals, lack of protection, lack of supervision Brampton Ontario

My Mom and I were at PJ's Petstore in Bramalea City Centre in Brampton. There were a few things we saw that concerned us while we were in there.  First, there was a border collie waiting to be groomed, he was tied up and left unattended on the table. He was shaking so bad he was shaking the table and almost walked off the table. If he had he would have either snapped his neck or choked. This was unacceptable that he was left unattended.  There are also cages with ferrets and bunnies, both in which there are too many animals crowded together. The ferret cage had over 20 baby ferrets in it. I'm not sure how many baby rabbits there were. I'm also not sure if the shavings for the rabbits were pine or aspen, but if they were pine that is poisonous to rabbits.  There was a sign above the rabbit pen that said not to pet or pick up the rabbits but there was also no cover on top to stop people from doing so. As I was at the rabbit pen, this man came along with his daughter and he picked a bunny up by pinching the skin on its neck and mid spine. He then handed the bunny to his daughter who had no idea how to hold a bunny and it began freaking out. He pinched the bunny to pick it up again and practically threw it back in the pen. This is NOT how you pick up a bunny and severely upset me. I told a employee and it looked like they told the man not to touch them. This was not good enough, and they need a top on the pen. The bunnies also looked very sickly and underweight.  I have been and still am animal owner of cats, dogs, ferrets and rabbits and know how to treat and take care of all these animals. I am not impressed with this Pet stores disregard for these animals. I'm not a fan of pet stores that sell animals to begin with, but this Pet store definitely did not understand how to treat and take care of animals.
