Our credit right now is not good.We had to file bankruptcy in '06,then in '09 I was laid off and was out of work for almost a year,in the process I had a car repoed.No bank or credit union will handle us.

Why didn't you request a personal loan from a local bank? At an interest rate of 6.75% you could have repaid the loan in 12-months at $43.21 a month. The loan would have cost you only $18.52.
