I was recently lured to planet dodge humble by a mailer that tempted me with no money down, no payments for 1 year, etc. etc. I currently have a lease vehicle from another location that closed down and my contract was transfered to planet dodge in humble. The mailer said that it was possible to get me out of my contract with no penalties only to be told that I would have to pay over $5000.00 in penalties.

I explained to the salesman John that I did'nt have any money to put down but the statement apparently went to deaf ears becuase after deciding on a particular car he went into the back office and came out with a deal asking for over $3000.00 down payment right off the bat.

I immediately reiterated to him that I came here to make a deal under the advertisements statement of no money down. He continued asking for a down payment even asking me to go get a payday loan or beg a relative for the money. Obviously I started to get disgusted with the whole process

He then went to the back office and came back out saying his boss was crunching some numbers for a deal with no down payment. While waiting for the new proposal he sat making idle chit chat. The conversation consisted of him telling me how to make money under the table and not report my income to the government.

I could'nt believe this guy was sitting there telling me how to make money and basically defraud the government. At the beginning of the meeting I explained to him I was disabled and my only source of income was my social security check. And he's sitting there telling me "Oh they will never know as long as noone tells them" . I was shocked that the person I was supposed to trust is dealing with me honestly, was telling me how to lie and scam the government that keeps food on my table and pays my rent until I get well again.

Anyway after 5 times of going to the back office the mngr came out and proceeded to tell me how he was losing money on this deal. In other words I should be grateful and do whatever they say if I wanted to proceed. How dare he come out and try to make me feel guilty about spending 25-30 thousand dollars. The whole experiance was sureal and as soon as my lease comes to an end thats the last time I will ever do business with Dodge. I'm most upset that they wasted my one day to myself with these dishonest practices.

Anyway I spent 5 hours sitting there listening to a dishonest salesman talk about his unscrupulous dealings. And then to a mngr. that tried to pressure me into a sale with guilt. Thanks planet dodge for wasting my time and confirming the old "Dishonest car dealer" story.
