in september when the 3.0v for ps3 came out,it was a mandatory download.i was playing my ps3 the hour befor it came up on my tv screen telling me to download it,well i wasnt interested in doing it so i tried to cancel it,it wouldnt let me.i had to download 3.0v to my ps3,well needless to say i did an i had nothing but trouble with it freezing,crashing,controlls going backwards,blue ray not working nothing it was like i had a virus in my ps3 that wouldnt go away,so i called sony an told them the story i telling now,an needless to say they can fix it for me for 150 bucks plus shipping or they give me a new model for my old one plus 119 bucks.now i ask why is it cheaper to give me a brand new one then to fix my old one..they couldnt answer it,its just a speical they are having. i told her i dont want there new one cause it dont play ps1 an ps2 games like mine does,she agreed an said then give us 150 bucks an pay for the shipping an we will fix urs..i told em to pound salt.i paid 700 bucks for this 2 years ago why would i play more? i did nothing wrong to it ur download did,they insist that it overheated an i was like ur download made it cause i was playing it hour befor then..she said sorry we cant help u then if u dont wonna pay.so i ask if i paid to get my old one fix what kind of warrenty do i get with it.she said 90 days thats all..90 days just for it to happen again?she quit now wanting to get off the phone with me.so ur telling me i got to pay for playstation defected download..she said sorry sir nothing i can do it sonys rules..well let me tell you i got an xbox that did the same thing an they fix it free of charge an gave me a 3 year warrenty with it..maybe sony isnt all that it cracked up to be just a bunch a ripoffs that take advanage of kids not knowing that adults play to....i guess its time to look for a good lawyer.
