Plexidrone CEO Klever Freire Two years of taking 2.5 million from backers w no delivery of drone Ontario Canada

 In December 2014 I purchased the Plexidrone, and associated products, on Indigogo, with the promise that the goods would be delivered by March 2015. I purchased more products and was told they would be delivered in April 2015. By August 2015 I was being given updates telling me the drone was on its way. Online, the promise was delivery in September now. By September 29 I received an update with a link saying the company "had heard customers inquiries" and could go to the link to see latest delivery times. That link has since been deleted. On October 9 2015 a new backer update revealed that a video would be released "soon" showing the Plexidrone in working order and that the company was working on a drone now two generations removed from what was originally ordered (???). Also on October 2 the company announced it was letting go of "original plexidrone" in favour of "production plexidrone" (???).

On October 28 another backer update announced the company was waiting on: "We are waiting on one outstanding item with respect to final certification of the PlexiHub control system." December 2, another backer update saying a special account had been set up to let backers know delivery dates, although no dates were provided. On December 11: "Over the past week we have released the PlexiDrone Cloud, the PlexiHub Controller and the PlexiPack." These were promised back in April. December 19: "We will be pushing back the full reveal of the PlexiDrone until Monday." Nothing was revealed or shipped on this date. January 6 backers update: "Leading up to our very first appearance at CES, we are proud to introduce the PlexiDrone design that will be delivered to our backers." Nothing was delivered. March 3: "We’re long overdue for an update! Thank you to all for your patience and support you have provided our budding company. We’ve been vigorously working to get PlexiDrone ready for large scale production and shipping." Nothing was shipped.

On April 30 I received this email from "Zoe, customer support: " have good news! Our shipment deadline is for near the end of Q2 (July) where we will begin shipment to our earliest backers." May 21 backer update: "We realize we haven’t had a backer update for a while- we’ve been running a tight ship! DreamQii has a series of small but important updates coming. We’ve come to the time when development has stopped and we’ve moved on to the next phase of production." June 6, this notification but nothing about delivery: "PlexiDrone is made ready to fly right out of the box, but it’s also built to inspire makers and innovators to create." June 24: "Production PlexiDrone is here and ready to fly! If you haven't done so yet, take a look at our latest video to catch a glimpse of the production PlexiDrone product line." But still no delivery. November 11: "DreamQii’s main web page is now entering beta testing and we need your help to make sure it is everything you need to manage your PlexiDrone needs pre and post-delivery." But still no delivery. December 5 2016: "For indiegogo backers only you will receive free worldwide shipping on your entire order (even if you purchased items from dreamqii.com) by purchasing any of the following items:" This item has still not been delivered.

I wrote to the company on September 21 and said my patience had run out and I wanted a refund. As a professional film production company we had to purchase another brand to get on with the jobs we had in hand. I have sent numerous emails since and not received a reply. I confronted Klever Friere, the original owner of the INdigogo campaign for the company, on the Facebook owners site and he claims not to have seen my emails (I will provide them here for record). His comment was that this was a "game" and he would choose to "play" if he wished. This company bilked $2.5 million from its back going on 2.5 yrs and not one delivery!
