plumbersurplus.com, a supplier of plumbing products, has a misleading way of selling products on their website. The links on the website to the rough in valves for the trim I purchased were non compatible. It shows this right on the page that you can buy this valve for the trim you purchased, but it is really non compatible! I requested a RMA for the wrong product via the website and was denied, I even called waited over 20 minutes to beg for a RMA and even offered to pay a 50% restocking fee which they then said they would in fact email me an RMA. LIE!!
No RMA was ever sent. This is not my fault but I was willing to take an $80.00 loss instead of a $190.00 loss for a product plumersurplus.com would easily be able to sell again. This was a simple case of verifying the accuracy of their website for which I now know never to trust again. You would think that a large online site would have the facts strait, but they do not. DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT. I have since found 2 other sites for such products and they are both well designed sites with accurate data. (www.efaucets.com and www.homedepot.com are both good sites)
Delta and Kohler should also be more careful in choosing who they use to represent their products. As I now have a bad taste for them as well. We had to buy a whole different line of products. I am involved in the distribution industry and we use corrective actions when a problem cannot be resolved. This company flat out misleads the customer and when you need to return a product. DENIED! My order # with them was (190178) and was for $680.00. Almost $200.00 of that was the wrong item. STAY AWAY from WWW.PLUMBERSURPLUS.COM they are a true nightmare!

#1 UPDATE Employee
PlumberSurplus.com Does Accept Returns - Correct Product Sent - Wrong Product Ordered
AUTHOR: Gp - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, July 24, 2009
The consumer did in fact place an order with PlumberSurplus.com for the amount stated below, he did not however use links recommended by PlumberSurplus.com to choose the products that he ordered in conjunction with one another and the restock fee that is stated below is in fact a flat out lie. All returns policies can be verified on the PlumberSurplus.com website where it is stated that there is a 20% restock fee, had the wrong product been sent there would be no restock fee at all.
I reviewed this customer's order, he did in fact order both Delta and Kohler items as well as an item from a manufacturer called Elements of design, valves for Elements of Design products are not compatible with trims for Kohler or Delta products, and this is typically true of all manufacturers.
The customer references "links on the website to the rough in valves for the trim I purchased were non compatible" for every product that the customer ordered he used the links under the product detail section "Customers who bought this product also bought", instead of "Related products". Or instead of actually reading the descriptions, which state which valves are needed for the trims ordered, or opening the specifications provided which also state which valves go with which trim kits he chose to blame anyone and everyone but himself.
As for the Kohler valve that was ordered we can't reference if it was wrong because no matching trim was purchased. Until further review of the return request referenced that he apparently was trying to match up a Kohler valve with a Delta trim.
All in all, a return was requested for one product, the price of this product is $180 which I believe is the approximate $200 he is referencing below, but the correct product was sent, unfortunately it was just the wrong product ordered.
As for the return, it's not that we don't accept returns, but we do have a returns policy that does state returns must be requested within 30 days. The customer didn't request their return until 2 months after the order was received so it was denied by our system, but when he called our representative helped him and gave him a return authorization. The return number is available for reference.
When the item was never returned we followed up with the customer to see if we could be of assistance but apparently at this point he had gotten himself too worked up to return the item and instead decided to sell it on eBay, as this is what he told our representative.
You can reach me at any time via our contact us page at PlumberSurplus.com as I am happy to assist in any related situations. This is not the type of experience we want our customers to have and had we been given the chance to rectify it I believe we could have, but both parties need to be reasonable and honest about the situation at hand.
