I was sent an email to renew my Club Pogo Membership 2 weeks ago. I went into my Club Pogo Member "My Account" and it said I was a member until July 07, 2007. I assumed, because they had been paid with a debit charge card last year by me as an AOL member, that they had done an automatic renewal. Today, I am blocked from all Club Member activities! There is no way to find anything out as it says what it usually says anymore "Sorry - server too busy. Try again". I have written to Pogo help & received an auto response email. This is fraud - they have my money & are denying me access as a paying memeber!

I want questions answered: why was I told upon going to my member account on Pogo site that I was a Club Pogo Member until July 07, 2007?. Why was I not given 30 days to renew?

This company needs to be investigated by the U.S. Federal Government as the company is incorporated in the State of Delaware and headquartered in the State of California.

I'm a member of Pogo

AUTHOR: Cindi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 20, 2007

I have been a member of Pogo for 7 years.
They HAVE to do maintenance! Since I've been playing I've maybe had server problems 5 times at the most. I play every single day. If you are having problems getting in I would check the settings on your computer.

I also pay yearly for "Club Pogo" and have since they started that. I have never been locked out, had problems contacting customer support, or emailing them and getting a response. It's always been prompt.

When my year membership is almost up, I am notified, usually 7 days ahead of time. It might be longer, but I haven't paid attention to that timing to be honest, since there has never been a problem.

Also, I have won $10.00. It took about 2 months to get it. But it does say in their rules, expect 6-8 weeks. So I always though the 2 months was pretty good!

Also, I DO NOT work for Pogo. I was just thinking you might think that since I'm saying this stuff. Pogo has a new page like myspace, if you want to check me out just in case you do not believe me. I'd even try to help you get answers if you'd like.

Tuesday and this Paid a Year Advance Club Pogo Member Being Denied Access Again

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 20, 2007

It's Tuesday at 10:40AM and I have tried accessing Pogo game site since 4AM. It doesn't bother me that they do weekly maintenance from 3AM to 7AM...but this not being able to access the site once a month for 10-12 hours adds up to 12 or 13 days a year that we Annual Paying Club Pogo Members cannot get what we paid for.

Again, I stress that this is happening monthly while over 80,000 players are showing up that they are on Pogo. Also, I repeat there is no getting to Pogo Help. You get message "site is temporaily unavailable". I have asked for a phone number repeatedly...never received a phone number for Pogo. They have us paid-in-full members stranded with nothing to do but report them to the proper government bureaus.

Tuesday and Being Denied Access Again

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 30, 2007

It is Tuesday Again @1:55PM (EST) and I have been denied access as a paid in full annual Club Pogo member since 3AM (EST). This is occurring now more frequently as you can tel from my updated report of 01/19/2007. Yes I finally was able to access the Pogo site only to find that 35 Premium Albums that i had purchased (and about 70 weekly challenge) badges had been eliminated. Yes, they are working on restoring them still. Patience is out of the question at this point. This company takes the money and the attitude after to that paying customer is deplorable. This is escalating and being allowed to escalate.

It makes all the other complaints against Pogo sound a lot more legitimate with this paper trail.

It's Tuesday and Being Denied Access to Pogo as a Prepaid Member

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 09, 2007

Pogo has denied me access to Pogo site since 3AM and it is now 10:30AM. I understand they shut down to load challenges on Tuesdays from 3AM to 7AM. I have no problem with that.

I would like to add to last month by saying that I have been unable to access their help contact us since 12/13/2006. You type everything in & it strips all info you put in in top so will not & cannot go through.

I am not the only pre-paying Club Pogo member being denied access for what we have paid for. What is extremely infuriating is to find that free players are not being abused this way.
I intend to keep up the paper trail as I am now contacting the Better Business Bureau in Delaware State where they are incorporated and the BBB in California where their headquarters are. I have their financial report for 2006 and there is absolutely no reason for them to treat pre-paying members this way.

other Club Pogo Members and they are getting same run around

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 12, 2006

Again it is Tuesday and I have been trying for 3 hours to access as a paying Club Member the game site! I understand they go down from 3AM to 7AM on Tuesdays for maintenance - but this is now getting worse.

Today they are putting up a message stating "Wrong Version of Applet" and telling you what to do. I strongly suggest you contact MicroSoft, the manufacturer of your computer, and your anti-virus company before you do what is told. I did and my applet is the same as last night when I was on playing the games.

They also say Help for customer support available - No Way! You can get answers to pretyped questions which do not address the problem. If you click "contact us" after filling everything in you again get an error message #5.

I think this goes beyond having patience and is fraud and worse. People can end up messing up their computers. All this is being done to pay in advance Club Pogo Members. I am not the only one - I have been in contact with three other Club Pogo Members and they are getting same run around.

When does it stop?

It's Tuesday & Pogo Denying Paid Member Access to Site

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 14, 2006

As an annual paying Club Pogo Member (in advance for the year's membership)I am being denied access to Pogo site. As anyone can see, this happens every month. When you are being denied access for what you paid for it also means there is no way to octain Help from Pogo. This is unacceptable. By my previous reports it can be seen that this occurs at least monthly. This company needs to be reported and something done.

It's Tuesday Again & Being denied Access to Games

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 17, 2006

As an annual paying Pogo/EA club member, I am again being denied access to Pogo games.
Yes, I tried patience and elbow grease. I expect to get what I pay for - and that is access to play the games I have paid for a year in advance!
By the dates of my previous reports - it happens monthly almost always on Tuesdays after they shut the site down @ 3AM to about 7AM.
It is very maddening as a paying club member to see non-paying people on the site playing. I consider that a rip-off at the least and bordering on fraud.

I have contacted their "help" (you are promised a response in 48 hours)when it is available, which is usually not available when this occurs. If you add up a 2 day loss/monthly (24 days/yearly), I feel that is how non-paying people are allowed to play. That again is a rip-off or fraud.

Pogo member

AUTHOR: Tricia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 20, 2006

I am a proud club pogo member and I have recently talked my aunt into becoming one as well. She paid for her membership before the trial period was over and was credited the membership so it did not begin until after her trial period. Well the day that should have been her first day as a paid member she was denied access as well and sent EA an e-mail and was told that several people were having the same problem and they were trying to rectify the situation.

I have on several occasions been either kicked off, not allowed into a room, or even into pogo because of how busy they are. We all need to remember that one, they are upgrading there systems constantly, adding new games and upgrading old games, and that there are people from all over the world that are club pogo members.

Just be patient.

Player of Pogo

AUTHOR: Emily - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 12, 2006

As a player on Pogo for going on 4 years now, I do experience your pain. Today yes we could not get into the game. But with alittle elbow grease I have gotten in and played. Maybe you should try calling Pogo at 1-866-543-5435 and speak with a live person. I have done that in the past and it has worked for me. Many days we do have problems getting into play. With a quarter of a million people trying to login in, it sometimes does pose a problem. I paid in advance with a debit card last December and has good success with Pogo. I would keep pursuing this problem and please call them..

POGO/EA

AUTHOR: Pamela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 12, 2006

As you can see by date of previous report, again as a paying member of Club Pogo, today I am again being denied access to Club Pogo.

I am tired of heaaring about server problems and all that. The membership prices were upped and they have made huge amounts of money off Club Pogo members buying premium albums. These members who are being denied access to Club Pogo member games/and other member benefits are being denied what they paid a year in advance for!

When this happens - I have tried numerous times to access their HELP section to no avail. Plain & simple you as a paid up annual member are shut out!
