My computer had a DC/Power Jack Repair issue. I was searching the web to see if there are any service to repair it to save me the time and money. But instead, what I got back was a totally different issue that wasn't there before.
I sent in my laptop for a DC/Power Jack Repair and two weeks later I got my laptop back with the display issue that wasn't there before. The display started showing inverted colors with multiple distorted colors. The service is unprofessional, the way they opened my laptop and put it back was a mess. I suspected they fried/damaged the display port which located near the DC/Power Jack. It was a ripoff which will create more problems for you, so users beware of this company service.

Problem with Gateway

Where to begin. This gateway laptop came in with a simple dc jack problem and it was fixed correctly. it left the shop in working order and the lcd was acting normal and nothing out of the ordinary.
1. The box the customer used was a poor choice. Small box with a small amount of paper wrapping. No laptop shipping box and irresponsible to ship in. This is ultimately the most likely cause of the damage to the lcd.
2. Customer won't ship me the laptop back to take a look. If I made a mistake (don't think we did in this case) I was never given a chance to look at it much less correct it.
Bottom line people seem to have problems when they ship in inadequate boxes and laptops will get damaged unless the proper materials and boxes are used.
