Can someone please direct me to a United States Registry, or any actually, that registers purebreds (not one where you can just make it all up) that has any dogs registered as tea-cup? Or now apparantly, pocket? No one is saying that dogs that small do not exist. However, if your 2 lb. poodle was registered anywhere respectable, it was registered as a TOY poodle. These terms are description of size only, and don't actually exist as a classification. They are a spiel, and it has become FAR too easy for unethical people to rip uninformed people off this way. A great deal of ethical people actually clarify at some point that those terms are NOT an actual type of dog. They also inform potential buyers of the health risks and general shortened life-span, and extra care needed when it involves a puppy/adult this size. Be EXTREMELY wary of people who use these terms too enthusiastically. I have even seen a few who guarantee adult size, but these dogs are astranomically expensive and it doesn't count if they have the tiniest bit if extra fat. Or, you can always buy an older puppy and immediately have it tested for a liver shunt if that works for you. P.S. My four pound yorkie is registered as a yorkie.

A TRUE TEA CUP IS between 3 to 5 lbs a breeder know this. A pocket is anyware from 1-3 lbs SO YES THERE IS A TEACUP SIZE THAT YOU ADVERTIZE BUT NEVER HAVE!

FYI, I sold the puppy 2 weeks later for an $800 loss - - the puppy was not a "teacup" yorkie as advertised (it was a very large animal without the value of the puppy she described). She new exactly what she was doing and refused to take the puppy back (I even offered to pay the airline shipping both ways).

Truth be known, Juli would not take my calls, I had to call from different phones just to get her to answer.
