We embarked on what we thought as a nice, easy start with salesman Mitchell G who seemed up-front,pleasure to talk to, thought saleman to good to be true!! Naw, we must have lucked out and stumbled on the best pool builders from the start! We are so lucky to have them..5-31-08 paperwork signed. Next day I, off to the permit office for my new friend, Mitchell to start on the permit application.{he said not permit kit needed in PA} Come to find Warrington is a 4 week wait for pool permits :{ Not a happy wife! got all permit done in 10 minutes. {we do electric ect.no problem} Mitchell is very quick to pick up $2,890.00 check on Sat. promising "no later then wensday a.m." permit return. We are still on 6-6-08 waiting for our "over night permit" so it may be turned in to Township, for the 4 week waiting period. Mitchell is persistant and also trying to "sell" my Contractor husband a Salt water filter which we wanted but...in-line you or anyone can get and install for $999. as apposed to their $1,800.00. my husband said 1,200. seems fair. Being a contractor there are make up's but this much is Crazy! Mitchell still persistant for answer on financial end {even though contract states, Hold check till customers approval. financial or permit wise??? didn't say. Well mitchell called and got the wife here and i told him it hasn't been a week and we are getting the run around, need more paper work. everyday was another excuse not to turn over our permit until bank approval, even though contract stated approval and permit approval still contingent here and 4 week fron the day if it ever came I go the permit toturn it in to Warrington. Long story short, Mitchell and his company got cursed out by wife and stop on check. Mitchell said we didn't need to stop payment on it, "he doesn't work that way." Really Mitchell??!!

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Pool Designs response
AUTHOR: J - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Monday, June 15, 2009
Pool Designs had entered the contract with Michelle and her husband Alex on Saturday May 31, 2008. Our representative Mitchell G was given the permit by Michelle and Alex on that day. The permitting process was now in place. Michelle called our office the next day, a Sunday, and spoke to our permit man about the status of the permit. We explained to her that a topographical survey was required for her township to complete the permit. This is a common occurrence in most townships.
Michelle stated that she did not need a topographical survey because her yard was flat with absolutely no obstacles or standing water after a hard rain. The next encounter was on the next day, Monday June 2, 2008. Pool Designs had contacted the township for the exact information needed to complete the permit and we had left a message on Michelle's phone stating that we had done so. Michelle was not happy that we took initiative to get the process going and said it was not the company's place to check in on her permit. She also stated that the engineer at the township does not know her backyard so it is impossible to know what kind of survey is required by just a zone and address. Michelle, after telling the township engineer how to do his job, told us that she was cancelling the pool. We promptly sent her the deposit back with no questions asked. This is our side of the story and if you can make out Michelle's grammatical error ridden rant you can see that she clearly had no idea how permits or townships work.
