We entered a contract with Pool King on December 11, 2007. They immediately started working hard on our pool. They excavated, they sprayed gunite, and in short fashion, did the tile and coping around the pool. Then they left for Holiday!! We had a good feeling at first that our pool might be done by January 22nd, the "due date". Well, it is July 28th as I write this, and we are no where near finished. News reports (Fox26) broke out on Monday about his company, his office is closed and up for rent, and no way of contacting him works!! He did enough to get three drafts released to him from the bank. What is left of this $42,000 pool is a draft of $1900 for plaster and finish, but, we are short $15,000 to finish this pool! He has scammed us for $39,000!!

During this seven month nightmare, he kept using bad weather as an excuse not to do the work. He kept saying that with all the rain he had to let his people go, then when it was dry, he would say he had to hire people to do the job. When he finally made an attempt at finishing our pool five weeks ago, we thought that he might finally be back on track with finances and finishing pools. He came out five weeks ago to pour concrete for our deck. What we received was a plain concrete deck and a bill from the concrete company that said we had to pay them because the check that Pool King wrote--BOUNCED!!

What we have is a $42,000 concrete pond infested with snakes, frogs, spiders, and mosquitos!! We have no spray deck, no equipment, no electricals, no Turbo Twister slide, no Diamond Brite plaster, unfinished plumbing, and no more patience!!

Remember his name, Kenneth Von Lanni. He will open up a new pool company near you!! He owned Houston Pools and Spas before this one, unfortunately we didn't realize this until now, and he did the same thing with that company!! He is also involved with another company called NasaJo Construction Corp., but we have not found out much about that company yet.
