Portatech.com Be very, very careful when buying from Portatech Internet

Be extremely careful when buying from Portatech and preferably buy elsewhere.   They're not exactly dishonest but they do misrepresent what they're selling and challenges to their practices are met with "technical" obfuscation.  They're just not a decent company.

If you do buy from them you may very well not get what you thought you'd get.   Also, if you do buy from them use a credit card because if they rip you off with too many cheap substitutions you can dispute the charge, send the items back and get your money back.  Here are some examples of their substitutions:

Better yet, if you want to buy a combo or somesuch get someone local to where you live to do build it, that way you can see what you're getting before you pay for it.  Here are some examples of their substitutions:

1) The pictures of the cooling packages they show on their website are of fans and heat exchangers that are at least a decade old and I got an inferior package to those pictured.

2) They show Samsung SSD drives but I got a cheapo make of drive.

3) I got a different and cheaper power supply than that pictured on their website.
