I too, have been getting harassed by Portfolio Recovery Associates for at least 3 months. I have asked them a number of times to make available, proof that I owe this money. I'm not even sure this is me. He had a wrong address and I can't ever remember spending/ buying $4,200 worth of anything. He claimed I had this card in 1992 and I owe $4, 200.00. I too will report them to the BBB, FTC and New York State Consumer Protection Board.

Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC Representing,HSBC Card Services, Merchant:Ameritech This company continues to harass me with collection letters for an un-collectable debt, over ten years old and filed in my bankrupt claim as well. They even say ,in small print, that, because of the age of this debt, they will not sue me, nor will they report it to any credit reporting agency, yet it does come up on my credit report and stopping me from getting a good score in order to get a house.
